Works very well. Like another reviewer said, " only takes a small amount." My water source has high alkalinity, so I use a syringe from a "Teeth Whitening Kit" and use about 4-5 drops in a gallon of water to get a Ph neuteral reading....6.5 - 7 according to my Ph strips.

Great for lowering the ph in my yap water

First of all, I really like and use General Hydroponics products. I use General Hydroponics Floraseries. I've tried other products, but always come back to the Floraseries. I use their products for growing cannabis. If it's good enough for NASA to use on the space station....it's certainly good enough for me. The ph down is a decent product. I simply use citric acid crystals. It's half the price and you only use 1/4 the amount. Last forever. Just need about an 1/8th teaspoon compared to 1/2 teaspoon of ph down.

I recommend getting a mL eye dropper to use this if you are using it to pH smaller containers like 1-3 gallon watering cans. This stuff is really strong and you will not need a whole lot. Online it states approximately 1mL of solution per gallon of water is all that's needed to drop the pH by one point. I find that's it's a bit less, more like 0.4-0.8mL/ gallon to drop by one point, hence the need for the mL eye dropper. Once you know what works for you, this stuff is great. Even 1 point of pH'ing your water in the right direction can make a HUGE difference, especially if you cultivating medicinal plants. You also don't need much of this to do it so no need to fret over chemical additives in your solution. I bought this since I know I'll need it eventually, but I'm still on the same 8oz bottle from over a year ago...awesome!

I’ve used this specific brand for a while now and I’ve noticed it takes about 1ml worth to bring my tap down to 6.5 my tap water comes out around 8.3
