WOW! Packed full and fun to read!
I was really surprise at just how full of info and pro tips were in this book. Figured it would be gimmicky but not at all. I have tons of prepper books, best ones by Arthur T Bradley- for home survival and Creek Steward bug out for car or outdoors, even some military guides and I must say this is a great book. It does not read like an end of the world fanatic book. Its more of a comprehensive book on surviving all different types of weather conditions, how to's and gear ideas, expert tip from the army, girl scouts, boy scouts and other experienced outdoor groups. How to improvise different things like snow shoes, bamboo beds, sun glasses and other really cool things. As much as I like all my books as its fun to get different perspectives, this is a great book if you only want one that covers the most outdoor survival. Aurthur T Bradley is better for home weather conditions like tornadoes and floods and hurricanes and the like. There is just so much information in this book its too much to list. The most important thing other than the great information is it's just plain fun to read, not boring or drawn out at all. It also has great stories of doomsday preppers which are cool and funny at the same time although some may find them over the top in the prepping area but the book itself is less over the top and more practical information. It is a welcome addition to my top book collection. It's also a Great gift idea for friends and family. As I do think more people should be prepared at home and in their car, it's just common sense as murphy's law happens to us all at some point!overall: buy it, great read, better info and really comprehensive in types of environments covered.

It's OK...
This is largely reformatted information. It is a handy reference for the coffee table. I will say that it is one of the few that really seems to understand some of the issues in a desert. While they discuss the largest need being water, they make the mistake ( a common one) that cutting open a cactus is a viable water source. That may be true after recent rains. But cactus are incredibly tough! And the longer they are in drought, the more alkaline they can become. You may spend a tremendous amount of energy to cut one open, then have the cactus pulp make you sick.

NOT A BAD READ
If you know virtually nothing about emergency/disaster preparedness, then this is the book for you. If you have a working knowledge of how to prepare, then you may be a bit disappointed with this book. Most of it is fairly common knowledge, though every so often you come across some REALLY original ideas. The physical size of the book makes it worth picking up, as it would fit in any emergency kit without taking up much room.

Excellent info!
Experienced survivalist. Even I found useful info in this book. The pages are thick and the binding some of the best around. This book will last through many readings. The info is broken down first on areas of need: food, water, heat. etc. The next sections are broken down by areas of survival: mountain, desert, jungle, ocean, etc. The sections and groups are quick reads and not to-in-depth.Should be in every survivalist/preppers home. Actually every home should have this even for the 72 hour emergency kit.

Doomsday Preppers Complete Survival Guide
Again, this is common sense things most people should know. I do realize some people will continue to depend on the Government to bail them out....question is; How long before FEMA shows up? What can you do for yourself until help arrives. This guide will help you with that.

Very Detailed
I bought this as a gift to my boyfriend for Christmas. He loved it. We have not read the entire book but what we have read, we really liked. It is very detailed and had things in there that I never thought of. I would highly recommend this book to anyone. It is very colorful and shows tons of pictures. It definitely keeps your interest.

great book
I enjoyed the TV episodes and I love this book. Although the end of the world 12/21/2012 did not happened. This just helps you to get yourself prepared for any disaster looming around. Better be safe than sorry.

If you like the TV show the book is worth having
As a survivalist/bushcraft/prepper/homesteader guide there are plenty more out there that are better suited. However as a bit of fun and a quick reference for certain bases, this can be quite useful. I would say this is one of the last books you would add to your survivalist library. If you want specifics buy a specific book. If you want and overview then there are better books out there.Quick delivery and well packaged
