I got this to replace my trusty but energy-hogging space heater this past winter. My home office sits next to sliding glass doors in a walkout basement, so it gets cold. I wasn’t expecting much, but this blanket exceeded my expectations. It heats up almost instantly, feels soft and plush, and I love that it’s machine washable (though I haven’t tested that part yet). The different heat settings are a nice touch, and level 2 has been more than warm enough for me. It’s been a great alternative to running the space heater all day.

I bought this product because my feet were freezing and this showed up while I was looking at electric slippers. I searched for more blankets with foot pockets and found very few. In the end, this was the least expensive and best reviewed.It was delivered a day early, so I am very happy about that. The instructions are fairly simple, though I am curious as to why the instructions were placed in a plastic bag in a bag made of bubble wrap. That was a little humorous for me.It's a good size and fits me easily. Both the hand and foot pockets are oversized. They are just a bit of the external fabric sewn on, so it has no heating element. It just gives you a place to put your hands that's covered. The foot pocket does make it easier to pull and tuck some of the actual blanket underneath my feet to take advantage of the coils in that way.PROS:- I can feel it heating up as soon as I turn it on.- Low isn't bad. Medium can get too hot after like an hour. High gets hot very quickly, and can be pretty intense.- It covers me from top to bottom while I'm sitting at my computer, which is exceptionally nice.CONS:- The cord connects to the remote which then connects to the blanket, and it's a little short on that end. Otherwise, the cord is long enough to get to an outlet.- It does not retain heat for very long. As soon as it turns off, it starts getting cold. Not cooling off. It gets cold.- Both pockets are rather, ludicrously, oversized. That means that cold air can reach my feet no matter what. It also means that the hand pocket is too deep when I'm sitting upright to actually be of use to me because my arms are too short to allow my hands to rest on the bottom of it.My cat LOVES this blanket. To the point where I cannot leave it for a moment, even when it is off. I don't know if it's a pro or a con, but it can be bothering.

Loved this on cold evenings in front of the TV. My son and I would play rock, paper, scissors to see who got it first… lol.

It's nice heats up quick the foot pocket is kinda funky it's actually 3 pockets, foot pocket to me doesn't heat up much

Very wary and fluffy. Pocket is sown in so there are 3 sections to keep bottom up. It even Warm enough without heater.

I bought this as a Christmas gift and it was a huge hit. So soft and the added foot pockets are a bonus. Four levels of heat and the automatic shut off is a great added feature!

The only upside to this product is that it worked very well when we first got it and is very soft. The downside (and reasons for the bad review) are I bought this in December for a Christmas present so she didn’t start using it until then. Today is February 20 and the throw stopped working about a week ago. Specifically, the bottom half of the throw no longer gets warm. I made an attempt to Sunbeam to file a warranty (product says limited 5 year warranty) and while they always sound nice in their (businesses) replies, I was basically told they no longer support this product and to contact a partner manufacturing company. My disappointment is two-fold, first that I have a throw that only lasted a month and a half and second that I’m not getting any support from the company (and quite frankly) or Amazon to a replacement and/or refund. I’m not one that normally speaks up in reviews but while I am replacing this gift for my wife, it’s just a shame that this experience has been so poor. I am hard-pressed to support a product that just didn’t give me a value that I felt I paid for and a company that made me feel as if I were being passed to the next. No consumer should have to jump through anything remotely close to hoops to resolve situations like this. This has been my experience that doesn’t apply to all but, for a situation that can be easily resolved, very disappointed.
