Sony DSCW570
I bought the Sony after a disastorous purchase of a Casio G shock camera (dont even think of touching one - absolute rubbish) & following the demise of my 5 year old Nikon. I love the simplicity and superb picture resolution. It focuses fast in daylight and bangs out quick shots clearly every time. Its only drawback is that is a little slow to focus and set itself up at night. Quality wise it is generally up to usual Sony standards though the battery cover is a little less than positive and requires a little fiddling to ensure it is locked in place which is unusual Only time will tell but I think this is a great point and shoot camera and blown up pics are really clear

Nice Choice
I bought the camera after a long research as I was looking for something different with in budget. Very small as compared to my old sony cybershot, thats a good point. Panaroma option is best. Only one negative thing is that sometimes it gives "pink line" in the picture and video, when light spot on the lens at a certain angle. Otherwise good value of money.

Great camera, fantastic images
The camera was purchased for my girlfriend (She loved the pink), I liked the build quality and the specification (although is 16MP really needed in a compact?). Anyway as far as features are concerned it has everything you could want in a camera for a point and shoot device, the intelligent auto mode seems to correctly choose the correct shooting mode almost every time, and the sweep panorama has been used by us to create some great sweeping landscape shots. If I have one issue its that it is an amazingly compact camera that means that if your like me, blessed with large hands then you might find the controls to be a little too closely placed together and clumsy to use, on the other hand my girlfriend thinks its the perfect size, so I really suggest you try one in a store before buying.

Fantastic slim digital camera
Great camera, high quality resolution pictures and the has lots of different functions for a small digital camera. The camera is very slim as well which means that if it isn't in a case it can easily be put in a pocket or a bag. Very happy with the camera.

What has happened to Sony
I have always used a Sony Cybershot digital camera and have never had any complaints. When I purchased this model I expected the usual Sony standard. I was mistaken. Less than nine months old and hardly used and the casing at the back is already coming away and cannot now be pushed back into place. The battery and memory card holder storage arrangement is very poor. I don't even find it as responsive taking images as past older and cheaper models. I certainly wouldn't recommend this model.

Sony DSCW570 Cyber-shot Digital Still Camera
Average performance and a number of problems. Error message appears when switched on that this memory card may not record or play and yet it is a sony memory card. HD video function can take time to change focus on the move and the automatic focus selection for the still camera is not consistent in showing the macro setting. Body feels somewhat flimsy and battery power is poor. The difference in picture quality between my old 7mp Sony and this 16mp Sony is marginal.

Great little camera
Good clear pictures, definitely for people that don't like to fuss around with cameras or don't know much about photography.5 years and was still going strong until my son broke it. I recommend it.

Great results, Easy to use, only a couple of niggles
Very easy to use with great results. My only grumbles are the off button is so close to the capture button that anyone (other than me) seemed to turn the camera off instead of taking a picture. Also for new users the capture button does not seem to move much so you do not get the sensation of a successful "press". Any time we asked someone else to take a picture of us this problem arose. Other than that, it is small, very easy to use and we are very pleased.
