Yes you can wash them but only on a gentle 400 spin. I forgot and put mine on a normal 1400 spin and one of the corners snapped off.

It just clips on. Its just another sponge refill and comes with the red plastic part, then just clips on to mop

The plastic head is 195 x 125 mm; the foam is very slightly larger, at 196 x 140 mm Separation of mounting lugs (outside dimensions) is 187 x 104 mm.
