Decanates and Duads

I do refer to this book now and again. With all there is to learn and know about astrology, I wouldn't recommend that beginners start here, but once you have a working knowledge of planetary and sign archetypes, then you may find this addition to your library helpful. There are some very nice details about each 2 and 1/2 degrees of each sign. And there are differences between degrees, but it is just that kind of detail that could confuse a beginner. I am not a beginning astrologer so I say that to urge beginners to build a strong and solid foundation first.

I was pleased to find a book with interpretations for every Dwad. Although the only Dwad topic is the main system. There are 2 simultaneous systems and the secondary one I do not believe is mentioned in this book.

Unlike another reviewer who didn't rate this book much I was really blown over after reading this and believe that everyone interested in astrology should read this book. Most books on astrology will cover just about most on the subject but seldom mention about the decantes, that are placed every ten degree increments within a thirty increment house. In all there are 36 decantes within a chart wheel and can be looked at as sub signs within the house. Personally I found trying to decipher the many aspects from a chart confusing whereas reading the decantes is quite easy and for me, quite accurate. To illustrate and example if you have 2 people born on the same day, hour but different minute the decante interpretation will describe different aspects to that individual. While general astrology has similar interpretations per individual I find the decante can and does make a difference. Overall I rate this book 10 out of 10. Highly recommended.

This is one of those astrology books I never put down. I refer to it all of the time. If there are certain aspects in your chart that do not make sense then I highly recommend that you research decantes and duads. You will feel like you have had an epiphany

I wasn't really too sure about this book, but took a leap of faith and ordered it anyway. So what to expect? You get a fairly expanded description of every decanate e.g. O°Taurus to 10°Taurus followed by description. Then, you get separate descriptions for every duad e.g. 7° Taurus to 10° Taurus and so on. The explanations are clear and nice to read and work with when making a thourough radix chart study.So, to keep it short; I really like this book. When you are interested in decanate and duad-interpretations, buy this book. I also bought this book about decanates and they really work well together. DecanatesDecanates
