excellent steel - I was cleaning up prickly bushes and did not notice a steel bar sticking from the ground, hit it with full force a couple of times, and there was a barely noticeable mark on the blade left.

For the price this machete is serving the purpose pretty darn well. I only needed it to chop down banana trees which are generally soft so no insight on if it will cut branches or more structured vegetation. it has a long blade which is tricky with closely growing plants but if you need a longer blade this is the one. Great value for the money IMO

Right out of the box I headed to the church yard to tackle the kudzu. It did well on the smaller vines but the larger ones took multiple swipes to cut them. I guess if they made it to sharp there would be some missing fingers on folks, so can't really fault them too much. It gets the job done but took more effort than I had thought.

Great product! It was not flimsy at all; very thick metal. The weight is very good too. Arrived already sharp and the grip is very nice. Length is great for my purposes.

Good product for the money. If you’re looking for a serious tool for bush and brush this will do it.

I used it to wack blackberry’s

During the first use it dulled quickly but every time it is sharpened it stays sharp longer. I use the Work Sharp sharpener and it takes less than 1 minute to get it razor sharp.

Don't expect anything spectacular. But for the price, it's a good deal. Handle and blade material seem pretty reliable, though the serrated edge is a ify to say the least, but definitely passable. Doesn't come sharpened.
