Original S.W.A.T. Men's Metro 9 Inch Side-Zip Military and Tactical Boot

This is my second pair of Original S.W.A.T boots. The first pair has gone through three Montana winters already and are showing little sign of any wear. This pair appears to be even better. This is definitely a tough boot. It is a little stiff right out of the box but not so much so that breaking them in is uncomfortable. In fact they were comfortable the first time on. They provide a lot of support and protection but are light weight compared to comparable boots. I don't care for a real "busy" looking boot, and these aren't as "busy" looking in person as they appear in the picture. In fact, they are very good looking. Both pair are very well made and durable. I hate that they're made in Cambodia, but I love the boot. Your feet deserve them. A good value for the money, even at full retail price. Update 09/2017: I like them enough to order a second pair of this style. These boots are tough, comfortable, durable, good looking, and provide really solid footing.

Update... 2.13.18 So as stated prior these are a great boot still wear comfortable only slight thing that get me is that rocks are always getting stuck in the tread, but other than that Greats boots. !!! Warning Do not attempt this at home!!! Also sense one boot was ruined from my accident that left me with an odd boot and sence they held up so well from my accident I’d see to what extreme they go for. What better way than to take it to the range. The safety toe held up very well the first few shots glance off the safety to but one round I thought made it through upon further examination found out that the .40 bullet got stuck in the safety toe (pic shown after bullet removed). Great safety toe design and remember do not try this a home experiment was done in a safe and controlled environment! These are great boots well worth the money. I use these as motorcycle boots and they hold up very well. I was actually in an accident with these boots and they saved my feet and did there job well. For this reason I did not hesitate to buy again. They are also very comfortable and support my ankles well. The attached picture is the aftermath of the accident to see how well these boots protect.

I have been buying this brand for years and they have never disappointed. From overall comfort to style, they are unbeatable. I always have to wear boots for work and I will say that these boots provide overall support. From heel to toe I feel as if I am walking on clouds. I also like the ankle support with the height of the boot. You honestly will not get this kind of quality from other brands with such an affordable price.

I received these in the mail yesterday and have only worn them for two 12-hour shifts. I can't provide any review about the longevity and durability. However, I can provide some first impressions and useful information. First of all, I am a female working in EMS. The last pair of boots I went through were McRae Terassaults, which I loved and wanted to get again. Unfortunately I couldn't find them in the size I needed. I was looking for another generally inexpensive composite toe boots. I came across these Original S.W.A.T. boots and figured that for boots with a safety toe, they were relatively inexpensive. I've never owned this brand. According to the Amazon boots size chart and my measurements using measuring tape, I'm a solid women's 7.5 exactly, which translates to a men's 6. My old boots were a men's 5.5 (UK 38) but I went with the chart in fear of them being too small. Turns out I should have ordered the 5.5. I have a lot of room in the toe in all directions, and my heel slips in the back of the shoe. But I figure that once I get a chance to break them in, I'll fit better. Second, getting them to fit comfortably straight out of the box, as with most tactical boots, is near impossible. They are tight around the ankle and loose in the toes. The side zip does not open straight to your ankle as it does with some cheaper Bates. The zipper has an inner lining that folds over when closed (see pics). It's pretty thick and quite uncomfortable but I figure this will also resolve over time. They have some decent height to them and the sole is pretty sturdy, but not rigid and uncomfortable. I will probably purchase some heel insoles to fix the movement of my heel against the back of the boot. The mesh lining on the sides is pretty nice too, and prevents my feet from getting uncomfortably warm, though I'm not sure how waterproof that part is. The "leather" material covering the toe is VERY thin, and almost feels like more of a polymer than leather. They'll get scuffed easily. But I'm not that worried about it. Overall I am satisfied, considering I forgot how painful it is to break in a new pair of boots. Wear some long, thick socks to prevent blisters. You know the drill.

For years I have worn steel toed boots for quading, hunting. Heavy heavy boots. Walking around out in the bush bulldozing my way through. I'm sure with these boots I'll be able to play way longer, and that's important to me. We'll I tell you what, these are the best darn boots I have ever had the pleasure of wearing. Light weight, but tuff. Comfortable. Wearing around the house for a little break in period, but really, straight out of the box these are great. Hey, they will double as my bike boots. My Harley Davidson boots are no we're near how comfortable these are. The composit toes are great. Shipping fast. I'll be back!

hopefully it will be more durable then the last one i got. lacers have quit on me after only 2 years, and after first year they are all teared up.

I ordered a men's 5, I wear women's 7 and these are perfect. They're my second pair and I use them at work as a paramedic. They are very light weight and have the side zip feature so you can slip them off when relaxing. They're shineable in case you're into that. Easy to break in. Only con I had with my previous pair is that the leather toe gets chewed up really quickly. Great buy for 93$ - normally I'm paying 200+$.

My order came really fast, great quality, looks exactly like the picture, super comfortable and I need comfortable shoes to wear when I'm working because I work Security and I'm always on my feet. I think I could of ordered a half a size smaller than I thought. All in all I love them.

I bought these to replace an Original Swat boot I have been using for nearly 10 years. Loved them so much I wanted another. - these new boots are OK... but the quality isn't as I remember. I very much appreciate the side zip for easy access with all the lace up benefits, but these have fabric across that my last ones didnt and the fabric is too narrow to allow for easy access with tight laces. So I either need to mess with both zip and laces or have them loose which is not that exciting.
