Deprivation and Delinquency (Routledge Classics)

This is an excellent demonstration of the underlying psychoanalytic theories so creatively used and explained by Winnicott. The interpretations of the drawings and the single intervention with the child are so subtle and so patient; he simply waits for her to draw it out as she grows safe enough to reveal it to them both.

He had the courage to tackle these very difficult areas of mental illness and even though we know more about the way the brain works, the "nuture" factor is Winnicott's forte.
