Great for upgrading to dual obd ports

YES, the color codes are not standard and do not match up with their own diagram. But they all OHM out ok and it works.

This product is universal, it will work as a replacement for any OBD2 port as long as it is wired up correctly. Most vehicles only use half of the wires or so that the OBD2 port has available so don’t feel overwhelmed. Read reviews stating that the wires didn’t match up with the diagram in the AD, maybe this is the case for some units but mine was all correct (tested before installing). Definitely solder the wires and use heat shrink to protect them, this is not the kind of part you ever want to have to deal with again. The port itself is high quality, i wish manufacturers would use a port even half as robust as this one. Also, be prepared to be in a very uncomfortable position for an hour or so while you solder this in, NOT FUN! No fault of the product, just the location of most OBD2 ports under the dash.

Pinout is mapped wrong! If they could just admit that part, they have could saved everyone from messing up CAN bus interface.

the connector itself is well made with a rubberized texture .. it is definitely not flimsy super thin plastic... I like the fact that every pin is labeled with their correspondent number .. it saves time not having to count every time to guess what the pin number is.. the cable is quite flexible and the jacket is quite thick.. a good feature if you plan on using the cable a lot ... as mentioned by other people the colors of the cables do not match the published pin numbers.. but I think is a bit unfair to give anything less than 5 stars to this connector assembly .. when you get such a great connector for this dirt cheap and complain about the color mismatch I think you just love to whine for no reason.. LOL

This connector works fine. The length is great. The wires are prestripped but not tinned, which is a disadvantage because you need to tape off the twelve wires that you won't need. WARNING: be extremely careful to check the connections before connecting because the color code shown in the item description does not match the wiring of the connector. My first attempt was completely wrong, but fortunately not damaging. I had to use an ohm meter to connect the correct wires.

Very good quality cable and terminal plug, but DO NOT TRUST the pin assignments/color chart from the listing. The one I received has #4 and #16 reversed and seeing that these 2 pins are 12 VDC power and ground that could lead to a significant issue if one used the chart and did not verify.

Do NOT trust the Pinout Colours shown in the photo diagram - It is WRONG. Other than that the cable looks good and works fine

Two of my pins in my OBD test equipment broke due to heavy use, they wanted over £500 to replace the item, so I had nothing to lose, purchased this lead and found the colors were different, but with a check found the correct wires to which pin and fitted to old unit, now works perfectly. saved me a small fortune.

this works great for OBD2 communication to an LS computer when you don't get the stock plug from the original car. using the 4 or 5 wires needed, your back in business. Able to hide this easily in the car on a few builds.

Well made connector and cable. But don't trust the pinout provided as it is inaccurate.
