Great Little Addition to Your Fuji X-mount Camera that "Magically" changes It's Handling Characteristics
Many people who have Fuji X cameras love them, but one of the difficulties with a number of the models is the lack of a deep hand grip to make holding the camera more comfortable and safe. My X-A1, for example, is a wonderful camera that I really enjoy using, but most people who hold it (including myself) will immediately notice the inherent difficulty in gripping it well due to the shallow side grip (just pick one up, and you'll probably see what I mean). Similarly, the X-M1 (same exact physical format as the X-A1), and the X-E1, X-E2, and others in the line. What this little guy does is actually a bit ingenious (although not a fully original idea): you simply slip the piece into your unused flash socket, and the little curved piece that will now protrude in a direction towards the photographer completely changes the handling characteristics of the camera. Simply looking at a photo of this part, which is composed of a single piece of machined aluminum and anodized in black, is not sufficient to fully comprehend how this works. But once you slip it in place and pick up the camera, its amazing to see the transformation that occurs. This is a high quality component of machined aluminum, and I don't suspect there will be any quality issues with it. That said, mine fits smoothly, albeit a tad loosely, into the Fuji's flash mount, and it's just slightly loose enough to where you might wonder if it will always stay in place. However, because your thumb is pushing INTO the part, I don't anticipate any operational issues. (But remember, you may have to remove it to fit into your camera's case, or to prevent it from falling off when the camera is in your backpack, etc. I can highly recommend it for functionality, price, and quality.

Thumb 'Grab' for Pentax Q Camera
A very handy add on for Pentax Q camera! Fits into the flash shoe on top of the camera body. Fit is excellent and tight. No screws are needed or provided with unit. The Nikon Q is a great small camera but it is SMALL! And slippery! Having a thumb 'bar' makes it easier to use.

I returned it - read why?
I wanted to use this for my X-E2 but for my hand it wasn't long enough so my thumb was offset too much to the left for comfort - No Problem returning and I replaced it with the Thumb Grip for the X-PRO-1 which is exactly what the doctor ordered - the X-PRO-1 thumb grip is longer and extends further to the Right on the X-E2 but still allows for the exposure dial to rotate while barely making contact with the base of the camera providing additional stability to the grip in addition to the flash mount base. Believe it or not - the X-Pro-1 flash shoe is slightly smaller than the X-E2 in width by .5 mm so the X-PRO-1 Thumb Grip will be slightly (nearly by a hair) loose on the X-E2 and snug on the X-PRO-1 but because it is longer will rest on the X-E2 case and hard standoff from the exposure dial by 1/4 inch - it works great and provides that extra support to compensate for the .5mm difference making the thumb grip feel more robust than any thumb grip that uses the flash shoe alone for support - this is one of those you have to see this to believe it things - trust me! For my money I use the X-PRO Thumb Grip for both the X-E2 and my X-PRO-1 and have bought 2x of these items.

A real gem: perfect for Fuji X-E2
This simple and cheap add-on makes a big difference to the usability of my Fuji X-E2. It's so much easier to have the thumb grip right there -- makes the camera much easier to pick up and hold -- and it stops me from accidentally turning the exposure compensation dial. And the price is right: have seen these selling for considerably more. It's well-made, machined from metal, perfectly smooth and fits into the hot shoe snugly. The hot shoe on the X-E2 is very solid and designed for mechanical stress (flash guns can be heavy) so I am not worried about that. I regard this as a "must have" accessory for small mirrorless compact cameras.

NIce, but not a Lensmate...good for a low price
Just know that you are not getting a Lensmate replacement/substitute with Fotodiox upfront. It's not a bad device and for the price it does represent a good value. I use this on my X10 and X100....I have a Lensmate on my X-E1. On the X10, it fits pretty loose, it "may" fall out with a bump. On the X100, it fits super tight and it's very hard to remove. The thumb part also sits up pretty high above the camera body vs. Lensmate...not as sleek and "custom" looking. However, it is VERY functional. It does not have the same comfort, soft padding of the Lensmate either, but that's not a huge thing. Overall, if this is for your PRIMARY camera, get the Lensmate and be done with it. If this is for a secondary camera (like my X10), then it's a great inexpensive option.

Works well on the Panasonic GX7.
Purchased for the Panasonic GX7. It is quite a snug fit into the flash hotshoe, so much so that I wasn't sure it was going to fit. But that isn't a bad thing, I'd prefer snug than so loose that it will wobble around. I am able to reach it fine with my fairly large hands, however people with smaller hands may struggle. The in-body flash works with this attached, however occasionally it can catch on the thumb grip and you need to prod the flash forward gently with your finger to cause it to come completely out (it is like a 1 mm overlap, which is why it often doesn't block). However in general, for how little I use the in-body flash it is only a very minor issue (and you certainly don't have to take this off to use the in-body flash). None of the other controls or buttons are blocked and it doesn't get in the way with any other operation I've had to perform with the camera. A grip widener would work just as well as this as I've discovered with some bottom cases (the cases effectively widen the grip, making this thumb grip unnecessary), however when you have no case on at all this is a very useful accessory at a fair price with no major problems. I don't regret not buying the larger one, but again: big hands...

Almost perfect but not quite.
Short but on a GX7 it helps a lot, a bit slick on the thumb grip when hands are sweaty, I used stiff self stick 3/8 inch black rubber tape used in sealing doors on appliances, etc, a bit on the curved area of the grip, to catch thumb, and a bit of it under the on off switch and the click wheel, so I can add pressure one handed without clicking the wheel. Gx7 owners will know what I am talking about....black, can be replaced. Not enough thumb grip area on camera plenty in front for fingers, but one handed is not fun. The Fotodiox grip does not block flash or other buttons but the nice LCD screen is blocked by part of hand. I feel the small rubber tape bits make it far better if the thumb grip wants to slip when sweaty hands and longer lens. It would be five stars if they put a roughened area inside the curve of the grip, or a rubber insert.
