Fun Games
I pre-ordered this from Amazon and it was delivered to my house yesterday. I was very impressed with the speed of the order. The games are a lot of fun. There is a learning curve, you have to play a few times and definitely do the tutorials. But even my 3 and 4 yr old had fun mimicking the movements of my wife and I playing the games. The kinect works really well IF you follow the tutorials and do the motions right. My wife had trouble at first, but she soon caught on to the way the games work.I am very happy with the games, as it seems our whole family can take part in them.

Great Graphics
My family and I had been waiting for this game to come out for months since it was a game that we could all have fun and play with together.Positives: The graphics are great and the facial scanning of the players is really cool. I am sure we will have a lot of fun playing the games together.Negatives: It takes awhile for the game to load and you can't jump into the games you want you have to unlock new games. Of course the games that everyone would like to play like bowling and tennis or some of the last games to unlock.Overall I really like the games graphics and player interactions and think that this game will be fun for all ages.

Kinect Sports Rivals-Late Bloomer, Was Apprehensive@1st, But Worth It&Happy.
To One and To All! Please do not count on reviews or have discouragement of buying this game. if you have it in your heart to get the game then do so, why care what others think and stop you from being excited, it is fun and enjoyable. what your avatar comes out in this XBox1 Game you will be amazed. other people will differ in their oppinion, but it is all up to you. if you are not really that sure? do some more home work about the game. trust me you will have fun, with your family, friends, or a social gathering at your home. I am a late bloomer about this game, it' is worth it.

What happened???
I REALLY enjoyed kinect sports games on 360. I was so excited that i pre-ordered this immediately. Boy, what a disappointment!!! Menus are confusing. Games feel rushed, not very creative way to use kinect compared to previous games. Story forces you into unlocking everything in their order. I couldnt play with my wife for about 2hrs while we unlocked the games. Unlike previous games, each game had mini games. In this game, its just 5 or 6 games and you wont be playing them much because of how unresponsive is the Kinect. Bowling for example, just felt so much better in the last Kinect sports game. I felt like i was actually bowling. In this game, its just me swinging a arm and hoping it will strike. Soccer is just plain stupid. Tennis feels broken which i dont get cause in kinect sports it was really nice and fun. This is not worth $65 that i paid. Wish i had waited. Feel like selling this game and buying a original kinect with kinect sports. Please dont buy!!! Wait for it to be resold for $5 - $10. Go play the originals. MUUUUUUCH more fun and responsive!

Meh
The steps you have to go through just to play this game drive me crazy. It takes forever to do the training for each event and then your stuck navigating this island while you search for the specific event you want. I don't know why they can't just use a regular menu instead of having to Kinect style navigate and search for everything. Once you get it going the events are kind of fun but ultimately not worth the struggle.

Love this game!
I absolutely love this game. Wake Racing, Bowling, Rock Climbing, and Tennis is a ton of fun especially in a party scenario. I didn't like target shooting and soccer very much as they felt lame and slow compared to the other games. Kinect picked up movements fairly well overall and missed a couple movements sometimes but its understandable as nothing is perfect! I would recommend this if you just want some friendly competition with your friends and family on physical sports without leaving the living room.

Average not bad but not great
I pre ordered this game because I was excited about the new more accurate Kinect. It needed an update just as soon as I popped in the disk. That is normal. After the install completed I finally got to the game. First thing I needed to do was set up my Champion based on my appearance. A few head nods and face turns the champion was complete. I could change some aspects of my champion to make it more personal. Now it was time to play or so I thought. The game forces you to play all of the tutorials for each game in the order they want you to play them. Starting with the watersport. This has been out for a while as a free demo for the game. It is an okay part of the game. It takes a lot of practice so I get the need for the tutorial. Then you move on to the other parts of the game again in the order they want you to play them. You can not deviate from the order they set. You can do a quick play but it will not give you virtual dollars or champion achievements for this. You will be playing as one of the team members and not your champion. I get why they did it but I did not like this aspect. I don't like the soccer game and won't be playing it so why force me to play the tutorial for it ? There is a way to "force" your way past them. Start the tutorial then quit playing it by either walking out of the kinect view or use the home button on the controller. Then select the quit. It will give you a warning that if you quit you won't be able to do this tutorial and earn the point for it. You can see use the tutorials again during the quick play so it isn't that big of a deal. There is a new shopping feature. You can buy power ups, equipment, and costumes for the game using your virtual dollars you earn playing the game.Moving on to the accuracy of your motions vs what is detected by the kinect is a bit off but not horrible. It is better than 80 percent but not more than 90 percent. I think peoples awareness for what they are actually doing vs what they think they are doing maybe a bit off so it seems less accurate. The kinect also can't see through things. My dog ran in front of me while I was rock climbing disrupting the kinect view of me. It though I jumped when I didn't. Another time I was playing tennis and it though I had served the ball when I didn't . I beleive I moved faster than what it though I should have and registered a swing when none had occurred. The different games. The Bowling, Tennis and target shooting are probably my most favorite and easiest to play with the new kinect. The rock climbing is fun but a little difficult. More practice will be needed for this one. The watersports are just eh. Soccer is by far the worst part of the game. Difficult to play and not very fun.I agree with the users comparing this to the wii sports. It is very similar as far as the games but the graphics and kinect make it much better. I miss the skiing, boxing and volleyball from the other xbox games. Hopefully these will be on the next version of this video game.Overall I would buy it but I wouldn't pay more than $35 for the game. Wait for a sale or a used copy to make this worthwhile. It is playable and fun for the whole family.
