Replaced fan on ps4 and worked great

I purchase this with fear, one being that the product will be used or damaged and other me trying to change the fan by myself.But I will cut to the chase, I started watching a lot videos on how to change the fan, and clean the console, so when the fan arrives (which was faster than stated) I could be prepared.Let me tell you, it was really simple to do, yes, at some point I was scared specially when removing some cables since they look and feel so fragile. But I really recommend getting some tweezers for that preferably the round ones since there are some that feel sharp and that won't feel secure.So my recommendations will be, watch some videos (even the package has a card that recommends watching the iFixIt video), don't force anything, and as good as the Philips screwdriver is I recommend getting another, maybe a smaller screwdriver, I did most of the work with the one provided but that made me messed up some of the screws, which it ist that big of a dealt but is just a tip.And lastly, I was used to my loud fan and by loud I really mean it it was LOUD, so when I finished I didn't hear anything and I got worried that maybe I didn't install it correctly so I open just the part of the fan and turned on, and saw that the fan was spinning, it was just that I was so used to the loud jet sound that made me paranoid, and still when I was playing and didn't hear anything I got more paranoid, but I guess this means that the fan is really good and you can forget about the loud noise. Also the termal paste just put a "pea" I send mine to put some thermal and notice that they made a mess and probably that was making my PS4 overheat even more since the paste was all over the place except the processor.10/10 product the difference is amazing so far, I hope it stays that way.

Replacement parts for your PS4 are not something you should skimp on. I previously made the mistake of getting a cheap $15 fan and it immediately was making noises right after installation. You literally need to put your ear on the top of the PlayStation to even hear that the fan is running. Bingo!! Not only is the fan perfect, but the other items are also very important. The screwdrivers, specifically the T9 security torx screwdriver, are necessary to take apart the console. Then, the thermal paste included is high quality and is key part of maintaining your system.I highly recommend that you replace the thermal paste as well when you replace the fan. The kit also comes with a plastic applicator tool to evenly spread the thermal paste onto the chip. *There are dozens of YouTube tutorials that show how to replace the fan and the thermal paste. I had basically zero experience with PS4 repair going into this, and the videos were my only resource and helped me out immensely.If you need to replace your PS4 fan, look no further. This is the fan you need to get and it comes with everything you need. FYI if you are going for an extremely thorough cleaning as well, I recommend getting a can of compressed air and some baby wipes or a rubbing alcohol/q-tips or paper towels combo. Might as well go all out if you're taking the whole console apart anyway.

My launch model fan would kick in on almost every game I played and was loud enough that I could hear it through headphones. So I sought for replacement.This fan sits and fits and works as intended. Best thing about it is kicks In briefly as opposed to the original fan and is way less noisy;At idle you can barely hear it.If you have loud fan issue I suggest clean up your console and change the thermal paste, if the issue persists suggest replacing the fan with your specific PS4 Model.

Chose this kit as it included all tools, including the thermal paste, required to replace the cooling fan in my PlayStation 4. The only negative comment is that the description mentions a T9 torx driver when a T8 driver is required. However, The proper T8 driver was included in the kit. The fan is very quiet and apparently doing its job as the unit no longer shuts down shortly after startup due to overheating. As mentioned in the description, ensure you order the correct fan based on the PS4 model number as there are several variations. Many good videos on YouTube showing the required steps needed to replace the fan.
