My dad has been selling old jeans on eBay and needed some fabric measuring tape (the grandkids kept playing with his old ones). I thought this one looked manly and worked well. It is leather like the color is nice. Is accurate, flexible, and durable. Great value. Would also be good for body measurements. Nice and compact.

I love these small, easy to use and convenient measuring tapes. I keep them by my iPad and desktop for online shopping. Reading the measurements of a product is helpful, but using a tape measure really helps me visualize what to expect. I also keep one in my purse for in-store shopping. It is surprising how often I use it.The quality is very good and the price is reasonable. I recommend getting one and seeing for yourself.

Don't bother. It's not even worth the small price. It did not retract. I had to push the tape back in but even then, the last few inches would not go in.I have completely revised my review. I tried everything to get it to retract and worked on it over a day. Then my husband came by and said, "You just have to squeeze the sides". I did this and, voila, it quickly and completely retracted.It would be helpful if the maker would put some"press here to retract " symbols on the case and include directions.It is a cute item and will easily fit into my purse

It's nice, does its job. Wish the button was on the side with the logo. First time the end bit broke off so the tape got sucked in. My second one got chewed up my dog. Cheap enough and I'm a sucker for leather to buy this a third time.

Handy to keep in my small purse, seems like I always need to measure something and this is compact doesn't take up more than a nano bit of space. Would make a cute gift.

This is a real nod to the past! Nicely made and comfortable to use. Wish I had bought one years ago.

EDC = Every Day Carry. Yep, I'm that old Boomer who likes to carry all sorts of "necessaries" in my cargo pants pockets (don't tell me cargoes are out of style; it has nothing to do with style - LOL). And a tailor's tape comes in very handy at times. Ya' just never know when you're going to need to measure something.I've been using a retractable one for years. But the leather cover on this one really elevates it. And it's so light you won't even notice it's there until you need it... and, of course, it'd be good for your sewing basket too.It may just be the same as the cheap plastic ones under the leather cover, but with it it's good looking and feels like good quality.I got one for my daughter, who is a realtor, as a stocking stuffer too. She was skeptical about keeping it in her purse at first, until she had a client start asking how wide the doors were and how deep the counters were at a condo she was showing them. Thanks to dear-old-Dad she was able to whip out her tape and tell them on the spot. Now she won't go to a showing without it.
