I found this book very helpful in helping establish a "Lay Pastoral Care Team" for our church. It contained many helpful information.

This book is guide for starting a program. It doesn't give any guidance on how to do pastoral care,which is what the lay servant training is supposed to be. .

I was thrilled with this book and the potential that it has for developing a Pastoral Care Committee within our congregation. We have many resources but I thought this one did a great job of meeting most of our needs in a single text. I felt excited when I read it and that is always a good sign.
