Q: How does this buckle compare with the traditional marseille style buckles? Does it release well? Also, how stretchy is the belt? Thank you!!

Not sure what you meant by marseille style buckles, but the buckle is very strong, stiff enough where coral wont unbuckle it if you scrape on it. easy on the hand to release. The belt has slight stretch but definately not a rubber band. The material is very strong and durable. The rubber will not allow the weight to slip up your body on dives. I stand by this product and it is definately worth your money.
