Matthews 1812 House Seedless Red Raspberry Sauce, All Natural Dessert Sauce, Ice Cream Topping, Vegan, 10 oz jar

This exquisite product would have received 5 stars had the jar lid been properly sealed with tape to prevent leakage. When opened, I saw that the bubble wrapped bag around the jar was saturated with sauce, and the lid was not TIGHTLY secured. It would have been returned had there not been a multi-ingredient dessert awaiting this sauce. OTH, the taste was just right...slightly tart, but having a full raspberry taste. For a product this expensive, one would have thought a bit more thinking would have gone into its proper protection while in transit.

This is an excellent sauce! It lists sugar as one of the ingredients, but must not have much added, because it's nicely tart and not too sweet. Seems like a raspberry puree with a small amount of sugar added. Despite the price, we'll definitely keep buying this for an ice cream topping and other uses.[update]I've ordered this twice now, and my new, absolute favorite use for this sauce is as a topping for plain cheesecake. I absolutely love the tart/sweet flavor of the raspberry sauce on top of the rich texture of the cheesecake.

This sauce is awesome -- I am normally kind of wary of fruit sauces because I don't like fake-tasting or over syrupy fruit flavors. This has a really fresh, tart flavor that's not too sweet. It's thin enough to spread in crepes easily without being runny. My kids are eating it on every day on their toast... I know, I know, it's not a jam -- but they don't care!

I served the coulis with "finger" cookies (and a severed hand) for Halloween. The sauce is absolutely delicious; tart, sweet, fantastic. And the cookies were amazing dipped in it. Who knew raspberries and human flesh went together so well? I suspect it would be equally tasty on eyes cream.

This stuff is amazing. Not too sweet. I used it to top a lemon souflay which, I thought, was a tad too sweet. This was the perfect topping. If you are a raspberry lover this is a must.

Warm this up and serve over vanilla ice cream... Amazing!
