Absolute rubbish

I purchased this play house for my 1 year old daughter, and she LOVES it!!! She will walk in and out of it, play with the kitchen, and be laughing and screeching with joy for an hour straight! We do have a lot of additional toys that she plays with inside the house, but the house itself is what really brings the joy! It wasn’t hard to put it together, but it was fairly tedious. A lot of screws to screw in, and I screwed them all in by hand. I had read some reviews that stated that the wood would crack, and I could see if I used a powered driver, that could be very easy to do! There was one board that didn’t long up perfectly, so even when I screwed a screw in by hand, it was close enough to the edge that it started to crack, but it was t bad, and doesn’t affect the quality. (When working with wood and screws, you have to expect cracks from time to time) I assembled this inside my house. I was concerned that it was going to be very strong, being cedar, but it wasn’t too bad. It was really strong the first night, when I unleashed the cedar from the box, but after a few days, the smell was minimal, and after a week or so, it is non existent.

Good quality and decently easy to assemble with power tools. If you are planning to use this inside, it is finished with a stain NOT a varnish or other impervious finish. Since it is cedar, it is almost unbearably smelly and extremely irritating to my throat and eyes. You should plan to paint or clear coat it if you want to use it indoors.

Good quality and super cute, purchased for a 2 year old. Spacious enough for a few toddlers to play inside it comfortably, alot of head space. Took a few hours to assemble.

This is a really nice playhouse. My kids really like it and it is very sturdy. My only complaint is that the hinge for the door is made of plastic and broke very quickly. I called the company about the broken hinge and they were VERY nice and apologetic and quickly sent me 2 new hinges (I guess they sent me 2 because they anticipate the 2nd one breaking and I'd need a 3rd?!). When I was on the phone with the company, they also recommended staining/sealing the playhose to keep it in good condition. I dont recall this being recommended in the instructions. I'm fairly handy and this still took me about 1.5 hours to put together.
