OX Speedskim Semi Flexible Plastering Rule - ST 1800mm

Saw this being recomended so thought I'd give it a try. Very good idea. You still need skill....... just not so much.

This is a really handy piece of tool for beginners to plastering.It's size means you can effortlessly get more coverage in half the time. It's also functional: using both hands means the weight and pressures is equally distributed across both your shoulders instead of one. It's reasonable in ease of cleaning though I advise you do so quickly before the plaster hardens. Make sure too that the flexy blade is covered when not in use. Got it on offer so decent value for money!

Im not a plasterer but this is fool proof, after self teaching and having varied results, i took the punt and bought the 900mm speedskim. Wish i could go back in time and buy it earlier. I dont leave reviews often, but i had to, a chimp could get a good finish with this. Absolutely worth every single penny! Takes the skill out of plastering, just make sure to go in all directions.

Good tool.Haven’t quite got the hang of it just yet (plasterer of 20 years) but it might be because I didn’t get the pole as well.Easy to hold and has a groove for you to put your fingers when you’re using it.The finish is good, you just need to apply a little bit of pressure, but the plastic blade is quite flexible.

It is great for smoothing walls.

Really good quality piece of kit. I wish I knew about this 20 years ago, the size is perfect for large ceilings and walls, it’s really comfortable to hold, and it really saves your shoulders and elbows, just takes the hard work out of it, very easy to be clean,,
