Baby Delice-Marrons Glaces (Candied Chestnut) (300g)(10.59oz)

Marrons Glacé may well be my favourite confection. I love me a chestnut; roasted, candied, puréed they are always wonderful. Trouble is marrons glacé are often horribly expensive. A seasonal delicacy not as highly regarded in the UK as in Europe perhaps, they are sometimes - in some years - impossible to come by unless you can afford to shell out an obscene amount of cash for them. This 300g box was the cheapest box I had found in some time, containing the greatest amount of candied chestnut per £ of all that were on offer - and I looked everywhere. When they arrived I was super excited but tortured myself by waiting till Christmas to open them. What a delight. Perfectly cooked, tender and sweet, all the things a good matrons glacé should be. We tried to make the candies last but failed. They were gone in double quick time and now we can only hope that they will be available again next year at a reasonable price. An annual treat I would highly recommend, even though they are an extravagant one

Bought for a Christmas present, Person told me they were delicious, didn't last very long should of Bought them more than one box. Left wanting more.

Really nasty. A thick layer of sugar with very soft tasteless chestnuts
