So, I've been doing a TON of research on derma pens and decided I wanted a Dr Pen as I've seen tutorial on YouTube and they looked good. However buying one was a different story. There are many many Dr pen websites, each claiming that they are the ONLY seller of Dr Pen items and that other websites are fake. I contacted two who each said they were the genuine website and that the other one was not. I was told that there is a legal dispute about trademarking just now and that is why it is all so confusing. One of these sites has since gone offline so this looks like it might be true. Also, even the 'real' Dr Pen is manufactured in China anyway so the chances are they are all coming from the same factory. I wondered why Amazon prices were so cheap compared to these websites and presumed I was not getting a 'genuine' item but was willing to take a chance to see what the quality was like. I have received it today. The box was shrink wrapped and looked good. There was a security sticker on it with a scratch off code that takes you to another website to check the code, and it tells you if the item is genuine or not. (I suppose this could be fake but it looked pretty real). I've assemble it and had a go. It most absolutely goes up and down and does not just vibrate as some said. Turning the dial either lengthens or shortens the needle length (you get two cartridges with the set). I put the length to 0.5mm and did my upper lip line that I'm trying to get rid off, and it hurt a bit and bled (that's how I know the needles are actually puncturing the skin and not just vibrating). When I have time I will do a proper test of the face but for the moment, I'm pretty impressed and and reasonably sure this is the real deal and a genuine Dr Pen device. There was a user manual in the box too, and a UK charger. The two batteries appear to be fully charged too. Looks legit from this seller. I purchased extra needles from this seller too, they look okay but are not branded as Dr Pen on the packaging. Anyway, I may update when I get a chance to do a proper test of the whole face. For now, I can recommend this seller and this Dr Pen A6 Ultima.

I'll be honest, I was a little apprehensive ordering my Dr Pen needle cartridges from here but glad I did. Not only does Amazon Prime provide super quick delivery but the cartridges were perfect and excellently priced. I will continue to order via Amazon as prices are better than direct from wholesaler.

Arrived on time. The plastic box that houses the pen and all the other bits of equipment isn’t the best if you want to take it anywhere as it is difficult to fit together with all the stuff in it. However, the pen is light and very comfortable to use, excellent battery life when fully charged and sufficient speed settings for different treatments.
