An excellent book with so many details that you could visualise the events happening right in your mind's eye. There are so many life and leadership lessons embedded in the book's pages and the biggest lesson for me is how we can survive the harshest of conditions with the right attitude and optimism.

Loved this book. Actually it is story of one leader and his leadership. It is also a story of grit, perseverance and hope. It is mind boggling the crew still had a hope even after such an ordeal. No one died despite overwhelming odds. Nothing short of miracle. All credit goes to Shackleton. Mr. Shackleton was really Mr. Cool under extreme pressure.If you want know what true leadership is then read this book. If you want to know about courage and personal accountability then read this book. If you want to know how to recruit and empower people then read this book. If you want to know how to handle extreme stress then read this book. It will actually help if you give a copy of this book to your so called - 'manager'.

It's hard to describe in words the ordeal faced by Shackleton and his men on their failed expedition to the South Pole. This book is the earliest and most accurate account of the event.
