Incense is, like wine or beer, a matter of personal preference. I'm not a frequent beer drinker, but I love fine wines, for their complexities of taste and aroma. I had not burned incense for many years, when I bought a beautiful hand-carved incense-holder, and several types of incense (based on smell --- the smell leaks thru any packaging). Immediately after trials, this one, Egyptian Musk, was the favorite, and the others were packed away. May the others are more appropriate for Spring or Summer --- but for Fall and now Winter, this one is king (or pharaoh) for me. I burn one every evening, while I do a little reading or writing or music before sleep. There are 20 sticks per package (a total of 120 days for me, at one per day), so this six-pack I bought in the Fall will last thru Winter. Basically, I am both a physically and mentally active person, and I find the Egyptian Musk is a perfect soothing and relaxing compliment to my day. Find a local outlet for Flute incense (they are, indeed, obviously handmade, which adds an element of human-ness to them) and buy a few different types. You may be very pleasantly surprised, and delighted, to find that one of them is 'just right' for you, at this time and place in your life. Or that each has its place, on a different day.
