CharJenPro Adapter/Hub 40GB/S Thunderbolt 3 Port 5K 60Hz, USB-C Data, 2 USB 3.0 and Micro Card Readers for Apple Macbook Pro 2016 and 2017 - (Grey)

Received a faulty product after waiting for almost ten days. Paying this hefty price tag on Charjen Pro hub and waiting for it so eagerly because without an adapter I can't work on my new Macbook pro and after receiving this product, I've only come across disappointment and resentment by this seller. I spent a very long time trialling over 20 USB C hubs for my MacBook Pro - I've finally found the perfect one. The build quality and finish is excellent (perfectly matches with the Space Grey MacBook/Pro). This is one of the first USB C hubs I've used that can genuinely support all ports simultaneously - many I've used suffer from trying to transfer too much data at once and crash. Using this, I've been able to read/write to and from two connected external hard drives simultaneously (hurrah!) The hub replaces both USB C ports it consumes and offers the perfect combination of extras: SD/MicroSD and two USB type A (3.0) ports. The data transfer speeds are excellent and the white LED looks great too. This particular hub omits HDMI to keep it much thinner which I love - although an HDMI included option is available. I'm fairly new to CharJenPro products but I've been extremely impressed with the premium quality - you get what you pay for!

I bought this for my macbook pro because they're are no usb ports etc and for the first few months it was great!This is a really good piece of kit that was recommended by a tech reviewer and I'm glad I bought it.The design is nice and flush to the laptop, but after about 3 or 4 months it had problems starting to develop like usb's being ejected at random or just no connection at all. The fact that the two adapters are all the way over at one end makes it easy to move the hub by accident so you have to be super careful. This could be the reason that the device is playing up because the ports may have been damaged but I can still charge by laptop as normal so it's hard to tell for sure!When I bought this, CharJen were a new start up tech company and this could also be the reason for the faults as it was a brand new development! However, they did leave a kind note in the package thanking all their customers so this shows their sincerity and proof that they're not a crappy off-brand mass producer!Overall, if you want a nice and small bit of kit for all your media transfer needs then this is the one! I would ask that the price was reduced to something more reasonable but I understand that new companies need to make money to stay on top. I will hopefully be upgrading to something more reliable but this is great for the mean time.

considering ive only just started using it, so far, so good. the only complaint is that it doesnt fit when you have a case around the macbook. m,assive drawback for me as im proper anal about keeping my mac in good nick. everytime i use the adaptor i have to take my case off. might cut a bit out of the case to resolve this, but yeah, all in all. well good

I recently ordered this product again after initial issues which with the benefit of hindsight were of my own doing, but after receiving this unit it soon became clear that this product is of the highest possible quality and the ergonomics of it are really easy on the eye and fits my MacBook Pro 15” like a glove, it has to be said that a good firm press is required when inserting and actually fits better than my current unit (satechi) same spec and dimensions. I honestly think the charjenpro unit has a slightly higher build quality about it,and almost feel I owe this company an apology for judging it to harshly the first time around.

There is a lot of products out there that do the same function, so I was spoiled for choice as to which one to purchase.I did a lot of research to see which would be the best fit for my new macbook, and came across this little beauty. I wanted something small and sleek and flush fitted to my macbook, didn't want a wired dongle.I can honestly say that this product does what it's set out to do, to stress/hassle, would recommend to anyone. only downside is it doesn't come with a hdmi, but i don't really connect mine to an external monitor.
