Cookery with my mate marmite
A marmite based cookbook? What's not to like about that? (unless of course you don't like Marmite....) . Some interesting 'spins' on standard recipes - some of which use a small amount of Marmite as a flavouring (probably better for you than packaged gravy browning - at least you know what's in it), whilst some employ Marmite as a dominant constituent or glaze rather than a mere flavouring. I don't suppose I will ever cook all the dishes, but in between cooking, there are lots of fascinating Marmite facts to read and enjoy. Not particularly expensive, plenty of novelty value, well presented and well-illustrated - so I guess if you like Marmite, you'll like this cook book.

Love it or hate it
Fun stocking filler for marmite lovers. The Marmite cookbook, Paul Hartley's first book, set a new standard in food for everyone to easily acheive. Not withstanding the world's favourite love/hate relationship with the product, there is something in there for everyone to like. This was quickly followed by books you should look out for on Colmans Mustard, Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce, Heinz Tomato Ketchup, Lyle's Golden Syrup, HP Sauce, Marmite Tips, Marmite World, the Store cupboard cookbook, Bovril, Guinness and most recently, Horlicks all with tantalising recipes using these everyday products. All of these books have innovative recipes that are easy to follow and most importantly, delicious.

Love it, Hate it? That''s Marmite for you.
Paul Hartley's range of UK Brand Sauces is a GREAT set of books to collect, from Colman's Mustard right through to HP Sauce.Visually, being a Graphic Designer myself I have enjoyed the visual-graphic play of imagery alongside a combination of selected historical emphermia to help tell the story of Marmite. A true visual treat. As for the history of Marmite, well this is OK but is condensed into 8 pages of an 80-page book. But, you will find throughout the book interesting anecdotes being used throughout the book.Besides, all this there is also the threat of 52 exotic recipes for you to try out, from Quails Eggs and Brockwurst Salad with Marmite Dressing (ugh) right through to Spinach, Marmite and Mozzarella Muffins, all containing a good spoonful or two of Marmite. So if you are a GB Lover of Marmite, as well as buying the Book on Amazon, you can also buy Marmite directly off Amazon Pantry https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/pantry/info as well, so check out here:Marmite Yeast Extract, 500gIf you are interested in Paul Hartley's other books on Great BRITISH Brands that we all LOVE, then check these out as well:The HP Sauce CookbookThe Colman's Mustard CookbookThe Heinz Tomato Ketchup Cookbook (Storecupboard Cookbooks)The Lyle's Golden Syrup CookbookThe Horlicks Cookbook (Storecupboard Cookbook)The Bovril CookbookThe Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce Cookbookand finally...The Great British Storecupboard CookbookOverall I have given this book a 4-Star review because it is a visual treat, as said being a Graphic designer - I appreciate Good Design, But I also really do like to LOOK at PICTURES of the recipes that are listed in the Book. There are NO Photos of any of the dishes provided as recipes - this is totally out of character for a Book on Cooking, to not have any photos of the cooked recipes showing you how amazing they look.Love it, or Hate it?PROS ::+ 50+ recipes to work your way through+ Great "Designers" Book, a visual threat.+ Lots of past images of Adverts and associated emphermiaCONS ::- No Photos of any recipes?? ODD ??OVERALL ::I have given this book a 4-Star review, as in comparison to Paul's other book in the series on HP Sauce, it seems as if this is missing photos of the tasty dishes you can cook.

Mixed feelings
Insides of book very good quality but front of book arrived with a cup Mark on it and grubby marks on the back. Husband had to clean as this was a present. Although most of it was the front I wouldn't of said it was a 'very good quality'.

Great gift for a marmite lover
The book is put together really well: funny and at the same time useful contents, cool illustrations, fun marmite facts. It's printed on good quality paper, and just plain looks great. Awesome gift. I haven't tried cooking any of the recipes yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

Vraiment bien.

Love it or hate it, good coffee table book.
Recipes, reason why it is called Marmite in the first place, history, basically everything you wanted to know about the black paste. Fun even for those who hate it. (know from experiance) Could use more recipes but makes a snazzy gift book.
