Expensive but works perfectly (highly recommend)
+ Comes with a steamer rack and a spout to pour water out effectively + Compact and easy to travel with (fits in my palm) + Cleans well despite of silicone + Comes with multiple adaptors for different outlets + Fast to boil and have two temperate settings + can steam veggies and make rice (in self bought container) - expensive (probably cheaper if you get from a China website and order early) - the outlet comes default as China plug type I and bulkier when used with adaptor - smaller than expected - the height includes the handle when extended which was misleading I used this for my 14 days quarantine to heat up food in the hotel room and used it every single day at 240V. I used with a separate metal container to steam my food instead of direct contact to cooker. Since the pot itself is small, I had to remove the steamer rack to fit my self bought containers. It boils water very fast (~5min) and have tried making instant noodles directly. Though it is only once, it did not stain or leave any smell. I love the option to use 100V-240V as I tried this both in the US and in Malaysia (similar to UK voltage) and works well. It is pricier but met exactly what I need for quarantine in a location without a microwave. Would recommend to frequent traveller who would like to prepare food in hotel rooms while traveling light. The only complain I have is that it's smaller than expected. When I measure the height before purchasing, I did not include the handle which means that the pot itself is smaller. Despite of the cons, this met the exact need I bought this for and works without a fail. I would buy it again, maybe a bigger size while not compromising the portability of the item.

Doesn’t last after passing the return due date
I bought it for European trip but it’s not working anymore after a month and past the time to return it. Only used it twice and started to turn it off by itself. I tried to plug it with my own outlet adapter but failed. Now it’s just a useless piece of garbage in my suitcase.

Easy to use , compact , works in a pinch
I have carried this product to central america , morocco , india , grand canyons and other national parks in usa. It is a lifesaver. Plug it in anywhere ( comes with a plug converter compatible for certain countries and you can plug it into a travel converter ) . It heats up water or other food in a jiffy . It is really really fast. For some trips i have carried dehydrated food and you can rehydrate and heat that food in seconds. Cook noodles , tea , rice . Hungry kid in the middle of a camp. Plug it in and presto ... ( assuming you have some electricity or travel generator ) This product travels with us to any international trip or road trip . Highly recommended. I have been using it for 2 years now. Goes with us for an avg of 3 or 4 trips where quick access to food can be an issue. Has not broken down yet.

Works for my use
First one I received heated to a boil and then auto-shutoff and never turned back on again on the first use. I decided to see if that was just a fluke and requested another one. The replacement has worked well so far. I’m able to heat water in about 5 minutes and with the two settings keep water just above a boil or at a rolling boil. I’ve brought water to a boil about 7-8 times now with no problems. As others have noted, there appears to be some residue that accumulates on the bottom, which may look like corrosion, however it has mostly gone away with a bit of soap and water and a few times bringing it to a boil. I think this might just be some factory residue. Attached a photo here so you can see what mine looks like after the residue was washed off. Haven’t yet tested it at 220v, but will do so soon. 110v is working fine and it is nice that it includes adapter plugs. Excited to use these, though make sure you turn the dial on the bottom before using a different voltage. The included bag feels a little small to fit the folded pot, lid, cord, and the adapters so I found another one online. The bag is also likely to break at the seams if you pack it too tightly. It does the job well enough though I hoped for something nicer for the price. In addition to the included lids, I love the included rack to keep items off the bottom of the pot where things might overheat.

Cool gadget, a few flaws but doable
Arrived on time for my trip! I was going to just get an iron heater but this is way more versatile. Buying for use in Europe while traveling in hostels that have no kitchen facilities. Planning to make basic simple breakfast like boiled eggs and oatmeal. Bonus that it comes with compact multiple international adapters. Water boils in about 5 mins under the “quick setting”. “Slow” setting takes more time…good for steaming veg… The knob is very stiff so it won’t turn with your fingers - you need to hold the top down (use a cloth because the steam is very hot) in order to turn the knob to off position. It is also difficult (very stiff connection) to detach the cable from the pot with the hot liquid in it so you have to unplug the cable from the wall in order to move your bowl to table for dining. Another thing I notice it looks like you can slide the knob to the right to adjust the desired temperature but in actual fact, there are only 3 positions: off- slow- quick. No biggie, except those markings on the pot is not accurate. When I washed it with soap prior to first boil, I notice where the seam of the metal plate meets the silicone bowl, there is a gap. When I run my fingers through it, I feel soap coming out … this tells me that the soap, or grease or small food particles (eg if you are frying garlic) can get caught in the crack. I was hoping to make scramble eggs but I dont think I’ll cook anything that requires soap to clean - increasing the risk of residual soap after cleaning. When using the spout to pour liquids, keep the lid on so the liquids will not spill from the side. I did buy oven bags (sou vide bags cost more) so I can line the bowl for reheating left overs to ease clean up. It’s a neat contraption but lots of improvement can be made, particularly there shouldn’t be a gap inside the bowl. I give it 4 star as I’m anticipating it to achieve what I want to do but if only the price is better (dropped one star for value).

E-X-C-E-L-L-E-N-T! ...But updating 8 months later!
My original review is below....Yes I still say it is excellent ---> BUT ---> it DOES NOT fry! It only works with liquid for boiling or steaming! I watched a video of a lady frying eggs and sausages and such but the unit has an auto-shutoff if the bottom gets that hot! Once I figured that out I adapted to steam everything, hard/sofr boil eggs, boil/steam the sausages, etc., then it is just fine! It only does things like soup or liquids, and once you get used to it, it is a valuable tool. Perfect for travel and I actually use it daily in my kitchen. I found the silicone sides actually an advantage as I bend it to pour out soup, etc, like a funnel instead of using the little tea spout they have. Light weight, and perfect. Suggest to take along tongs, cleaning brush, etc., and even your favorite bowl with it along with your trip to make it all simple and easy! The top I use as a lid for my coffee cup...and found it be microwaveable! Well worth the $.... for more then just travel!

Heating element corroded at first use
I tried this pot out within an hour of receiving it. The instructions say, before first use, to put water into the pot to the maximum level and bring it to a boil. The first strange thing I noticed is the metal bottom of the pot only heated up on one side (as evidenced by the bubbles only forming on one side), but I thought no big deal, it will still boil the water. It heated up within 5 minutes on the "quick" setting (there is a "slow" one as well). The pot started giving off a rubbery smell. But the really concerning result was a discoloration where the bubbles had first appeared. The metal appeared to have corroded during the heating process (see picture). I consider this quite dangerous, as unknown metal ions could be getting released into the food that I would be cooking in this pot. The heating element should NOT corrode as a result of the heating process. For the price, this appliance should be made of better quality materials! This is the only time I have ever seen this happen with a hotpot, and I have used a few, including another collapsible teapot. I immediately decided to return it.
