Purchased this product to use in my outdoor tub. I live in PA where the weather gets cold starting in November. On most days I take a cold bath. My target temperature is 50 degrees F. In the summer I add ice to the water, in the winter I need to warm up the water to that temperature. Use the device to heat the water from about 40 F to 50 F. Takes about one hour for this. Have only used for about one month. Has worked consistently every day that it has been needed.

We heat an outside water tub (250 gallons of water) from freezing in the winter. Does a great job! If the tub is covered the temperature raises about 2 degrees per hour. Never let the thermostat shut off because 180 degrees is too hot to test and unnecessary. After using for a year, the wire started sparking and never heated again (guessing due to moisture outside). After contacting customer service, they extended our warranty and will be sending a replacement. Thanks!!!

I bought one of these to warm the water in a 10'x 5' inflatable kids pool. The hose water to fill it is quite cold, and I had hoped one of these heaters could help bring it up to a good temperature. I used a long piece of wood to try to suspend the heater partially in the water (not submerge, the black parts are not waterproof). After an hour in the water it didn't feel any different, perhaps the heat loss to the air/ground was faster than this heater could compensate for. Instead I filled a plastic bucket with pool water and inserted the heater element. Within 5 minutes the bucket water was hot-tub-hot. I dumped it back into the pool and repeated the process a few more times. It wasn't ideal, but it worked ok.

I work doing mobile detailing, and in the winter I use this to heat my bucket of water. In 20 minutes the water is hot. I have a 100-gallon tank in my van, and I've left it overnight with 80 gallons of water, and in the morning the water is warm enough to work comfortably I've been using it for a year and it's one of the best purchases I've ever made

This immersion heater worked well for the first few months—heated water quickly and was easy to use. However, after about four months, it suddenly stopped working. I expected it to last longer, especially with light use. While it was great while it lasted, durability could be improved. If you need a temporary or occasional-use heater, it’s a good option, but don’t expect long-term reliability. Would give five stars if it lasted longer!

Hi there, I bought a “ Intex Swim Center Clearview Aquarium Inflatable Pool, 62.5" X 62.5" X 19.5", for Ages 3+” that has a 90 gallon water volume. I have filled with water for 2/3 of it, so I assume about 60 gallons at 40 Fahrenheit approx. In the garage I have approx 60 Fahrenheit and leaving the heather on all time 24/7, I got water reaching about 90-95 Fahrenheit after less than 24h (approx $5 electricity). The 1500w is a good wattage, with a normal 1000w I am afraid you would not be able to heat it up enough to enjoy during winter conditions. I use it with an extension cord rated 1850W, nothing below this rating would be good for the 1500W continuous use for 24h. I have put some insulation material on the bottom of the pool to reduce the heat dispersion on the floor that is quite cold. An insulated cover on top as well to help to reduce the dispersion and save electricity too. Consider an ongoing $2.5 per day (1.5 KWh x12h x 15 cent per KWh in PA) for a maintenance use so if your plan is to leave it always on during winter nights you may end up with about $75 electricity bill increase in a month. It has ground wire but you definitely it is need to have a power socket with a lifesaving differential device or you risk electrocution in case of (rare) malfunction (if there is a differential current between negative and positive, it switch off the power).. Product is solid and well manufactured. overall happy to have it so every other week I put the pool in the garage and my kiddos plays for some hours per day considering the Covid-19 pandemia we are facing at the moment. Other reviews tell that the product last few weeks or months, so I intend to write here should the product fail. Until nothing else is reported please assume the product does its job 12h per day during nights since 10 April 2020.

This does work. This isn't an instant product. Its not going to heat the water to hot tub temperature in an hour. I have a pop up bathtub I use outside. It can take most of the day to heat up the water. This isn't on-demand hot water heat. It takes time - don't expect miracles. I have used this throughout last summer and fall, and this summer with no problems at all. I highly recommend it if you're rational enough to realize that its not a 2 hour heat with this thing and that it can take all day to heat something up to hot tub temperature.

Ni el cable ni la clavija se calientan aunque la dejes mucho tiempo, por lo que no quema los contactos como la mayoría de otras resistencias.

Es de calidad profesional, calienta el agua muy rápido. Definitivamente recomendable.
