This is a great little chainsaw to keep if you are backpacking or camping. It can cut through limbs and small logs with little effort. I prefer this model over the one with the strap handles because this has plastic ergonomic handles that fit well in your hands. It is actually a very smooth cut compared to similar products where the chain is very similar to a chainsaw and bumps a lot when you use it. This one has "teeth" instead of a chain. It cuts a branch or log quickly and effectively.

it broke several times, each handle had the rope come untied while sawing. and when first using it, it lasted 20 seconds before the rivet broke off 3 links from the end. I just put the S hook through the broken rivet and kept going but it was a time consuming repair seeing as i was in the middle of the woods with no tools when it happened. it was clearly a bad rivet by how different the shape of it was and should have been caught by quality control. if you have such people.

Thankfully this one was better than the one he had already. Much sturdier than the one he previously purchased and does a great job in cutting down trees( he gave it a try to see how it works. The handle is much better, the saw part is Similar to a bike chain with teeth and it came with a nifty fire starter.)

Great workout and does an easy job on low hanging limbs. I cut through an 8 inch log and it was easier than I thought. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't have a chainsaw that wants to do some trimming.

I purchased this with the idea that this pocket saw looked durable. Now, while it didn't break, it definitely lacks high quality. The handles are a cheap plastic. The cord that the saw ties into to connect to the handles probably could be torn easily by being grazed by the saw blades. I swear after the first use, I bent the saw teeth.As far as functionality, it does technically cut when it isn't getting stuck in motion. They should remove "survival" from the title. If this saw was in a situation in which survival was key, you would die. The only thing I was able to cut was a branch that was completely dried out and was about one inch thick. I could have broken the branch with my hand with enough force.Maybe for $9.99 or less, you could overlook the major flaws of this saw.

Chain cuts fairly well but the handles are a weak point. Replaced the handles and it’s doing pretty good.

Great little tool

This model has the double teeth. It cuts limbs FASTER than your average old school hand saw and fits in a 5"X5" pouch.. Cuts a little slower than a long tooth rough cut tree saw. I was pretty skeptical but it works great and over performed.
