This set has everything a beginning artist needs, and all for under $20. They suggest ages 7 and up, but I bought it for my 3 year old grandson who loves to paint. Granted he doesn't paint anything except squiggles but still loves the colors. The easel sits on a table and the 8x10 canvas fits in it perfectly, plus they give you 5 canvases. I put his first painting in a cheap 8x10 frame and hung it up, the grandson is so proud of his "masterpiece". You also get a very nice assortment of decent sized acrylic paints tubes and about 5 different types of paint brushes. The smock is large enough to even fit a 9 or 10 year old, it is vinyl and has velcro closures in the back. It also includes a plastic pallete for holding and mixing colors. If you tried to purchase these items separatly, it would be considerably more. It all stores nicely in a clear plastic zippered carrying case. Overall this is quite a nice beginner set which comes with everything your little Rembrandt needs. Great kit for stimulating your child's imagination and all this for less than a meal at McDonalds. This paint set is an awesome gift for any child or beginner. I say child because the smock is on the smaller side. It comes with a ton of things including blank canvases, acrylic paints, brushes, and a bunch more useful items. The best part is it all fits in a clear carrying case. Its easy to store away till needed. I got this kit for my nephew he is going to be so excited when he sees it.

Love this set.. my niece is 3 yrd old and she loved it. Loved the fact it brings everything you could ever need to paint. Well worth the value.

The easel is very small. It needs to sit on a table to be used or they will be sitting on the floor, which isn’t really an issue. It’s just more convenient to have more room to stand while painting or sit in a stool. It does come with a good amount of items and everything you need to create a nice painting. The quality of the items is good. I would recommend and would purchase again, but I’d get a different size easel.

This is the first kit with acrylics I have purchased for my 4 year old who loves arts and crafts. The smock fits perfectly and covers large area so I am comfortable letting her paint anytime without changing clothes first. The only thing I need to help with is squeezing out the paints as she hasn't yet learned what just a little bit means when it comes to paint. Easel, brushes, pallette and canvases are all easy for her to manage. Overall, a perfect kit we will replenish and take with us for trips definitely.

This was the perfect birthday present for my 8 year old niece. It includes everything your budding little artist will need to get started. She thought that this was a more grown-up type of set instead of the normal kiddy type ones she's always had. Everything in the set is well made and high quality. The paints are extremely easy to clean up, even if they accidentally get dropped or spilled. The set comes with a very nice wooden table easel, 6 - 8x10 cotton canvases, 5 different sizes of higher quality brushes, a flower paint palette, waterproof art smock, 12 different basic colors of acrylic paint and a storage bag. The storage bag is the best. It's large enough that you can get everything into it, so you can take it anywhere you want, and it's got a carrying handle. I love watching her paint. You can see the wheels turning in that little head and her creativity just pours out. This is a quality set and perfect for a present.
