Very nice unit and a great value
I purchased this product to install in my garage so that I could work on my cars and other projects without having to worry about the outside temp. You should have a technician do the install but I do some hvac work so I was able to install this unit myself and I will say it wasn’t very hard to do. However you will be required to vacuum the line set down and check for leaks before allowing the refrigerant to be released into the system. NOTE YOU MUST HAVE THE PROPER TOOLS AND THE KNOWLEDGE OF HVAC, DO NOT attempt to install if you have never done hvac work and do not have the proper tools. Any company claiming these are DIY units with pre charged line you should probably avoid as any atmospheric air in line set will cause the unit to fail prematurely. Also I set mine up with a ceilo breeze max WiFi thermostat so I could control it from my phone of echo devices. So far this had keep my garage very comfortable through heat days of indexes of 100 degrees plus. Will see how it performs in the colder months. UPDATE: now coming through a winter in Illinois I will say it did keep my garage from reaching freezing temps but also did not maintain a comfortable 72 degrees which is where I have it set for. However temp reached as low as -29 degrees with wind chills I would say it did a decent job at at least keeping it above freezing as most mini split are not meant to work in extreme cold. I went with the larger unit 24000 btu to try to compensate for the cold in as only 700 sq foot garage which is insulated with half inch OSB on the interior walls as well, this unit should cover 1500 sq foot. As far as its summertime performance, this thing has kept my garage very comfortable even on the hottest of days.Great product and very well built definitely much better than some of them in the market.

DO NOT PURCHASE PRODUCT FROM THIS COMPANY: 2 UNITS DID NOT WORK, REFUSED REFUND
This is a horrible company. I purchased ultimately 2 units from them with the promise of them to fix the mini a/c split. The lied to me and told me they could not issue a refund but would fix the problem. 3 times they sent my authorized repair guy (they made me use one at my own expense). I am attaching my repair mans letter to Amazon for all to see for themselvesTo Who it may concernMy name is Chris Bermudez I have about 30 years of experience in the A/C Refrigeration Business. I recently installed 2 different units from Air-Con forMr. Burke. The first Unit was a 9000 Btu unit. After the installation the Unit ran fine for about 30 minutes and then it stopped and started giving codes. I had tosearch the internet for the company tech support. I then found the only way to get to Tech support was to call the warranty number. At this point Mr.Burke decidedto just replace the unit with a larger 12000 Btu unit because of the amount of time it took to finally reach the company for help. I removed the 9000 Btu unit and replacedit with the 12000 Btu unit. Again, the new unit ran now for a day or two and then stopped working and started coding. Now I had the number to reach the Tech support department and spoke with a gentleman that started to help. I sent him pictures of the wiring set up on both the indoor and outdoor units. Upon looking at the wiring pictures and explaining to him the operating pressures he agreed that the unit did have issues. From the codes on the unit he sent me 2 thermistors which I replacedfirst. He said if that didn't correct the problem he would send me a new control board which was also a possibility according to the unit codes. After installing the thermistors, the unit failed again and coded the same code. I called back tech support and they now sent me out a new board. Upon installation of the new board, I found that the new board would not fit into the unit because the Heat sink on the new board was much larger than the old heat sink and it would not fit into the unit. I called Tech support back and he then told me I had to change the heat sink from the old board to the new board because that was all they had in the warehouse. I took issue with this because I am not a computer board repairman and they should have sent me the correct board. I explained to him that the heat sink had special paste on it and I didn't want to damage the board. He then agreed to send me the paste. He said if it didn't work, he would talk to his superiors about replacing the unit. I installed the control boardand again, the unit failed and now was coding again and now the compressor was not running. Mr. Burke then called the company and they refused to send a replacement unit. I told Mr. Burke that these units which I never heard of before were not what I would have installed for him if I was going to do an install. I then removed the units and installed a 9000 Btu unit made by Fujitsu which I use more than any other brand. The install was done and the Unit is running perfectly. The Tech support of Air -Con is probably the worst I have dealt with in all my years in this business.Sincerely, xxxxxxxxxxx

Great so far
Coming up on 3 years and great so far. We live in Vermont so it's used about 8 months out of the year. We use it for heat down to about 20 degrees then switch to a wood stove and a pellet stove. It cools our 2100 square foot house but wont heat everything. We found a couple of ceiling fans in different rooms help even everything out. Our house is pretty chopped up so I think if you had a more open floor plan it would do better for heat. We did add another mini split in the back of our house for extra heat. In the winter it adds about $60-80 dollars to the electric but we were spending $250 a month for heating oil so big savings. Cooling is a lot less. We are are deffinetly sold on these mini splits. Also trying hard to decrease our carbon foot print so these really help.

Great Value
I purchased this unit to supplement a roof top unit in a restaurant. We installed the unit on a day that was almost 98 degrees and the inside of this 2000 sf restaurant couldn't cool down below 82 degrees with the rooftop unit alone. This unit installed in about 5 hours with two men and that included running a new electric circuit to the unit. The unit advertised as self charged and it was exactly that. Once installation was completed, the remote was programmed and the unit was turned on. The space quickly cooled down to 68 degrees before we se the unit to "auto" or I think it would have kept pulling the temp down further.it's remarkably quiet and very energy efficient. The installation went extremely easy and the directions were easy to follow. I would highly recommend this brand to anyone looking.
