be very careful about the center hole. We expected the canopy from our chanelier to fit right into that hole, but it didn't. Going to hardware stores to find a smaller canopy was a chore that didn't pan out. Turns out the canopy for our chandelier was standard, and normal hardware stores don't stray from that standard. We did this all a few months ago, so I'm trying to go off memory. I think the canopy was 5" but the hole in the medallion was smaller. Probably 4.5". We contacted a local store that does nothing but lighting. They found a canopy that was 4.75". We bought it, but it didn't fit either. We finally just decided to jam it in the medalion as deep as it would go, then spray paint the whole thing. It looks great, really great, but it was a real hassle getting it done.

Works as expected. Hard to get seamless with ceiling because outer lip is about 3/16" thick. Really need to install on bare drywall and then taper mud over the lip to make it seamless.

This was exactly what I had expected for this price. I must say that when we took it out of the box, my wife was skeptical about the quality, thought it looked cheap. It is basically a molded plastic medallion.After she painted it and I mounted it, it looked fantastic and I only have an 8' ceiling. The finished product looks very nice, along with the new light fixture I installed.I recommend this product.

I used this medallion in my dining room. The chandelier that I purchased needed this medallion to accent its beauty plus have it appear complete with the ceiling. This medallion was the perfect size and had just enough millwork to not take away from the beauty of the chandelier.

Looks great I cut it to fit around my wood burning stove pipe on the ceiling!

The product does not fit snugly against the ceiling. I have to figure out something to seal the gaps......
