A great snack, super salty. Not for everyone. High quality and always fresh.

Good fresh and tasty

First, I'll start out by stating. DO NOT BUY THIS FOR SNACKING. 20% of your daily salt in 2 pieces is listed on all the labels. The fish flavor is great, but the salt hinders enjoying it more if you are eating it straight from the bag. Maybe using it as a stock for a soup is the intended way of using it, but as a snack, definitely no. This is overkill. Salted and dried is what I expected, but not to this degree. I tested it as a snack and it is way too salty. Using it for cooking on the other hand wasn't too bad. After soaking them in a small bowl of water for a minute before adding them to a pot to use as part of a broth, the fish flavor was able to go into the soup well. Downside is that because I had to soak it to remove most of the salt, some of the flavor did escape. Using 3 pieces for a broth for some noodles (I boiled about 2 cups of water with the fish), and it tasted ok. a Little light, but you could taste the fish properly.

It's ok - I've had plenty of dry fish products like this one in the past and this one isn't the worst, but not the best either. Pros - it's carb free, with just fish and salt as ingredients Cons - the taste is slightly sweet (for me it's a negative, I know some people prefer it), the texture is more on a soft/chewy side rather than dry fish I expected I'll finish the batch I ordered but I doubt I'd order again

Looks like it is packaged in China but the product itself is high quality originated from Russia Baltic region. I enjoyed the quality and find the taste exactly what I was looking for

I bought the 5 flavor pack hoping to bring these backpacking. They are very fishy smelling and tasting, so dry and hard that you can't really chew them, and almost too salty to eat (and I like salt). I am also a little concerned that the Amber Spice flavor only lists fish and salt as the ingredients, and says nothing about whatever makes the color and spice. These are from China (labelled as the PRC).

I like the strip jerky style one the most and the one with chili is the least favorite. I pop them in microwave aout 10-15 seconds so I feel like it cooked and it get softer and easier to eat that way. I wish it less too salty. I can eat a little bit each time because it too salty.
