This worked really well for starting fescue in a spot that I have a hard time keeping seed in the spot. I was able to use it a couple different times while starting seed this fall. It’s easy to use and seems rather durable for such a lightweight product. I kept it in anticipation of using it in the spring to start seed and other spots.

This was a good purchase and I'm glad I used it on a tough to grow spot in the shade in combo with a shade grass seed. However,much as it takes two people to lay the fabric down, I recommend two people to remove it as well. Otherwise pulling up at a one person angle will remove some of the shallowly rooted grass with it.

I'm not sure if it works or not, but I went out earlier today to remove the fabric after a week for germination and the covered areas are DRY! As far as I can tell, this fabric only allows water to pass through in one direction...which is good, as long as you know that BEFORE installation. I saw nothing about this on the very brief directions printed on the label. I thought the water was beading too much after installation, and now that I turned the fabric over the water is passing right through.

This works great fo putting down grass seed, cover it and stake it down (stakes not included),, keep it moist and seed was sprouted in a week. Birds could not get to it to ear.

This product did not "work" for me. Tried it when putting in a new section of lawn in our front yard (North Carolina), but had no sign of any germination after four weeks. Top-seeding with a good quality seed also failed to produce a good result. I removed the product and re-seeded the bare soil, with a mulch of straw, and had a better result.

It held the topsoil and seed in place even in the torrential downpours. However, it did nothing to help the seed germinate. I watered twice a day and water got through to moisten the seed and the soil but little to no grass has sprouted under the netting.

Works great, after wetting it down put small rocks on it to keep wind from removing it or plastic spikes.

If you live in a area were you get frost in the spring then this is for you. Covers delicate plants while getting sunshine. Also good to grow grass seed, so that the birds don't end up eating it.
