Fast, clever and endlessly replayable logic game for all ages
The Genius Square is a fantastic little game that combines logic, strategy and speed in a way that keeps both children and adults equally engaged. It’s one of those rare puzzle games that’s easy to learn but genuinely challenging to master, making it ideal for family game nights or quiet solo play. Setup takes seconds - roll the dice, place the blockers as shown, and race to fill your grid using the geometric shapes. Despite the simplicity of the concept, the sheer number of possible puzzles (over 60,000 combinations) gives it massive replayability. Every round feels fresh, and the balance of skill and luck keeps it fun for players of different ages and abilities. The components are well made. The boards and pieces feel solid and durable, and everything packs neatly into the box for easy storage. It’s also compact enough to take on trips or holidays without taking up much space. It’s a great mix of entertainment and education too, promoting spatial reasoning, logic, and quick thinking without ever feeling like a learning exercise.

Amazing fun
I don’t normally write reviews but this game is absolutely brilliant. It is fun to play and really is suitable for all ages. It can get very competitive too if playing with multiple people. Highly recommend!

Fast games and simple to pick up
A great game that is good for all ages. You’ll only get about half an hour of playing time before it gets a bit repetitive but each game is quick and lasts no more than 5 minutes. Good fun.

Genius of a game!
Brilliant game. Simple concept, but such good entertainment for adults and kids alike. This game can be played with two players but like solitaire can also be played independently. You have to fit certain shapes around several counters against the clock to beat your opponent. It's interesting how you can play this repeatedly and you'll each come up with a different strategy. Solid wooden pieces and a plastic grid are included as well as several dice. We've played this game for hours and can see that there a lot of longevity in keeping the whole family entertained. My 3 year old son even enjoys solving the puzzle by himself.

Unexpectedly brilliant game!
This is a brilliant game which was given to us as a present. We are totally hooked on it and have introduced it to our daughter and son-in-law - also totally hooked. However, when we ordered another set for a Christmas present, the one that arrived was subtly different. In our original set, there is a handicap facility which is really clever as it makes it a suitable game to play with children, so they aren't always the loser. The website doesn't make this distinction entirely clear, and I feel it should. I would suggest it is important to buy the set with the handicap facility. You don't have to use it, but it's there if you need it.

I’m sure it will be ok, as it’s not for me, it’s a Christmas gift, so won’t have been opened yet, doh! I won’t see it for months due to The Lurgy restrictions on flight and travel etc, and as the 6-year-old recipient isn’t on email, he won’t be able to tell you either, heheheh!

Fun game for multiple age groups. I love that it can be played by only one person and works the brain! Pieces are well made and stand up to heavy use. Fun to do on your own or challenge a family member. Sort of like a brain teaser so could be used daily as challenge is always different.

Received it a few minutes back! Tested it! Loved it! Can’t wait for my 6 year to play it after coming back from school. Only thing that annoyed me was the packaging! The game box was damaged. Luckily none of the pieces were missing. Attaching a pic. Not kidding! This is how I received it. Anyway loved the actual game!

We have played a ton, my kids are currently 5 & 11. To make it ‘even’ the younger play at junior level (pieces anywhere/any direction that fit around the pegs) and the older ones or adults have to play at higher levels eg. The white square blocks have the be face up and for those that seem really good at it not touching. Gives the little guys a chance to ‘win’ as well. Thus far we keep going to solve the puzzle even if the other person has finished first. It is interesting to see the differences in how it can be solved, often they are not the same. It is a challenge and all ages seem to like it. Can also be played individually as well like a puzzle which is great!!
