I'm so happy I bought this backpack. Here in Spain I couldn't find one that is as spacious and simple as this Portfella bag. On my fishing trips oftentimes I go through heavy rain and variable weather. I need an ample room that allows for keeping extra clothes and a small umbrella, not only my lures, reel and the rest of my fishing gear. I didn't want the regular backpack with too many inner pockets and zippers. Or without a removable separator unifying two minor compartments which is the case of many fishing bags. True, there are the Piscifun, Wildriver and some others which include this feature but whose prices are hardly affordable to me taking into account the shpping costs and customs duties to Spain.The waterproof quality is suitable for my delicate items: camera, cell phone, etc. My laptop fits perfectly in the pocket for it. I hope my things will not get soaked any more after an outing on a rainy day!The design is elegant enough for the city too, not only for the countryside, which adds to the versatility of the item.The price is reasonable and I think I get good value for money. Actually I ordered this backpack from Vietnam as a birthday gift, and as we are going to rainy season and my bfr has to travel a lot. When receiving he was so interested of seeing the waterproof backpack with a cool design. Inside it also had the laptop pocket there and two more small pockets for thing arrangement. He seems like the backpack with good quality, and the good thing is it is from the USA where he spent his 10 years there. I hope that it will worth the money but I believe that it will.

It looks amazing, smells brand new, good fabric everywhere except the bottom... Sorry what do you think this bag will be used for? Permanently attached to the back? The exterior shell is made of durable material that can withstand wear and tear but the bottom is a thin plastic that can be dented by sharp pebbles on the ground as you put your bag down when you're outdoors. After multiple such times when you have to put your bag down the thin plastic bottom will give out and jeopardize the entire integrity of the bag. They provided an internal insert for which I'm going to be hacking this bag and glue it on the outside, fabric facing down, to handle all the terrains where you put your bag without worrying about making holes to your "tough bag" through wear and tear of normal use (such as when going camping or setting your bag down on rough surfaces - not like glass but maybe there's a pine cone underneath or a rock with a semi-sharp edge that could help deteriorate the bottom casing that feels very flimsy).

Backpack seems nice and sturdy. Also the size can hold a lot of stuff. However carrying it seems a bit bulky. Also the top is a fold over design. The produce description says that it’s completely covered and items will not get wet. Need to try that in the rain

Great bag. Waterproof for sure. Wasn't expecting the water bottle holders to last forever, so when one ripped it wasn't a surprise. The big surprise was the hole in the bag itself. Eventually, it'll tear which will make the bad useless. For now, the waterproof factor is gone. Great bag for the first 6 months. After that, it starts going downhill.Holes and tears are popping up everywhere, so the bag is now officially useless. The weakest link is the area where the bottom is attached to the back. That area is always moving when you use the bag while walking or biking and/or putting stuff in the bag. Then it just tears apart until the whole area is one big rip.Was expecting a lot more from this bag.

Was very happy with the light weight pack and water resistant this pack offered. However, after using this back pack for everyday use it started to break apart on me. My purpose for using this back pack was to put it on my back and ride my bike into work about 2-4 times a week. After 2 months of use the outside zipper broke and the water bottle pocket holder started to break as well. Complained to the seller about the quality not holding up to par and the Portfella seller kept saying that they couldn't see my pictures that I was attaching to my emails. I stopped communicating with that person and re-submitted another return or exchange request. That Portfella person shipped me a replacement back pack the next day. After using the replacement back pack the same way as described above for about a month the shoulder strap is now breaking. It's only going to last another week before it breaks completely off. I emailed the seller and now I keep getting a response from Amazon that the seller is not getting my messages, but they can see the message in their amazon messaging center. Tried again a week later and I'm getting the same auto reply from Amazon now. Portfella should ship out 3 back packs per purchase in case they start breaking for the customer. I read plenty of positive reviews for this back pack which made me purchase it, but now I'm regretting it and have to find another brand of backpack to buy.

It's hard to tell how fantastic the inside pocket set up is until you get the backpack but I am really impressed with it! besides the external two bottle holders and external pocket, the inside has a large inside pocket for laptop etc along with two zippered small pockets for those smaller valuables like wallets you wouldn't want in an external pocket yet you want to be easy to find without digging forever. I have tried a lot of WP backpacks, mostly the stinky heavy PVC ones and this one is obviously better than all of them. thanks for the great design and can't wait to see some more color options in the future!
