Brilliant beginner kit
I bought this for my daughter. It did take a bit of time setting up and getting all the various bars connected and tightened properly took a bit of time. But it was all easy enough and required a bit of patience connecting all the pieces. But the quality and the easy to follow instructions were excellent. If you are looking to start out on drums, this is a great compact little electronic drum kit that provides good quality sounds. The month supplied access to lessons is actually also quite good and after playing around a bit, got it working on an iPad.I did try this on a Windows 10 laptop using a USB cable, but this didn't work very well and got a little frustrated trying to get the kit to be recognised on the laptop. But the moment I connected this to an iPad, it worked straight away.So I would recommend this to anyone looking to not break the bank account and wanting to get started with playing drums with some easy to start lessons.

Great bit of kit
We got this for our 10 year old son who is doing drum lessons. Building was a pain in the bum but once built the are very sturdy and strong. The wires could do with a little more give in them but all just reached. It was larger than I expected and not so easy to fold away so will end up staying up and taking up more room, if you want quiet dont let your kids take drums full stop as you can hear him especiallythe foot peddles. All this said my boy loves them they have everything he has on his lessons the sound is amazing and he has been on them for days and days, it has the timing and lots and lots of other things for him to do now at his level but also when he does progress he can link a laptop to it and do other things also. We did by him the matching headphones to them and he has tested them to his gaming headset and he says that the alesis head set is better for the drum set, he wanted these over all others as they have the same positioning as a real drum set and the same sound and feel .being un musical myself i didnt have a clue so his music teacher gave us a list of sets but recommended these and over all well worth the money.

Decent, but.....
This is a pretty good drum kit, certainly for a beginner. My lad likes the different programmes available so he can adjust his sound as he sees fit and I'm pretty sure the neighbours approve compared to his last kit! The option to add a speaker (we got a soundbar) or headphones is great, too. The only issue we have is that pads are too small, as such it's difficult to play at any speed without hitting the rims, he ends up having to play with his arms slightly higher than he normally would and it just seems really unnatural and awkward. Plus it sounds bad when he's playing along and the hits don't register because he's hitting the rims. We hoped this kit would last him a good few years but after 1 year we're looking at alternatives. Given 4 stars because it is a decent bit of kit but maybe just for younger kids or certainly as a first drum kit to learn timing ect.... anything more than that seems a bit of a stretch.

Grab yourself drum software for sounds, then this is superb (cymbals too quiet)
The kit is easy to assemble, and works very well. The built-in sounds from the sound module are "ok" but the main problem is the volume of the cymbals is way too low compared to the rest - to hear the cymbals you need to really hit them hard.I have BFD, so hooked that up (they do a free version too) and tada - glorious sounding drums that I can tune and balance. So far the drums feel like they're going to last, and feel good to play. With BFD the feeling and sound is awesome. The hihat does map to open/closed based on the pedal. There is no choke, but that was known and expected at time of purchase, along without having multiple trigger zones such as rim/bell. No fault with this, as I said this was known and expected, especially for the price.Love having the larger skins to hit, rather than smaller/rubber heads.

Great starter kit and bargain price
This set was on offer in the run up to Christmas and it saved us almost £100 on the regular price. It has all that is needed to get a young child learning to play the drums, the free lessons will be very helpful too, highly recommended as a starter kit.

Amazing value for money
Wanting to get back into drumming for years but a large acoustic set in the home is out of the question. After some research I looked for a reasonable mesh e-kit and a number of reviews pointed me to the Alesis Turbo. Is it the best e-kit ever? No - but for the £215 I paid for a kit to play at home it is simply outstanding. Took about 30 mins to unpack and set up, seems robust and solid so far. Can be plugged into an amp or through headphones. Mesh pads and cymbals respond nicely.Only snags - the hi-hat pedal release is a little too high, the ride cymbal a little too quiet and the range of sounds is limited, but again for the price that's not an issue and I'll get used to it. I might get an expansion pack just for an additional crash cymbal at some point.Great for kids too - a few small adjustments & they fit nicely. For the price point, highly recommended.

You get what you pay for...
It’s okay. Mesh drum skins are nice to play, inbuilt sounds are usable for practice not recording or live performance. Assembly was straight forward. Two huge issues for me though. The kick pedal is not velocity sensitive. It triggers accidentally at the tiniest movement and sounds robotic. Also when I hooked it up as a midi controller in Logic Pro the open hi hats are all out of time. So far can’t fix this issue, if I can’t I will have to return it and get a more expensive kit or just get a drum pad.

Ok for the money.
Took about 20 mins to assemble, sturdy components but easy to handle. The drum set is great for first time drummers like me. There electronic control box is hard work to get to grips with, seems there are too many jobs for some of these buttons which makes the instructions difficult to get my head around. I few more buttons for the major tasks to lighten the load of the other multi tasking buttons. The for pedals are unreliable, they often kick out an extra beat when is not asked for, could do a better. All and all is a reasonable set for the money, but could be a lot better.
