Great little battery operated smoke alarm. Looks quite discrete when mounted (I used command strips, but screws and rawplugs are provided). Based on an optical sensor not the older radiation source/alpha particle ones, but, weirdly, still have an expiration date....not sure an LED or optocoupler has a half life but what do I know!? Is this a ploy just to keep you buying new ones in the future!? Anyway, runs on two AA batteries (supplied) which is great, apparently last around 5 years but I can't validate that, they are easy to change in any case. The alarm is pretty loud too. I've found that sometimes steam from the bathroom can trigger mine in the hallway so they seem sensitive, but I think thats a good thing. For the price it's a simple fire risk mitigation to help keep your family safe, recommended!

I picked up the FireAngel SB1-R smoke alarms after getting tired of my old detectors constantly startling me every time I made toast. It also gives me peace of mind knowing I can silence it easily if there’s a false alarm. Plus, I haven’t had a single nuisance alert from the kitchen since I installed them. At the price point for a 2-pack, I think it’s a solid investment in safety without breaking the bank. I’d recommend them to anyone who wants reliable smoke detection and doesn’t want to deal with the frustration of false alarms.

This little smoke alarm packs a punch! I was immediately impressed by its compact size and how discreetly it fits into my home. The installation was a breeze, and I opted for adhesive velcro strips instead of drilling holes. One of the first things I noticed was the powerful alarm. Trust me, it's loud enough to wake even the deepest sleeper! While the battery life isn't quite a year as advertised (I've had to replace them after about 4 months), it's a small price to pay for peace of mind. Interestingly, the alarm has gone off a couple of times due to hairspray and once seemingly at random. Although these weren't fire-related incidents, it's reassuring to know that the alarm is sensitive and responsive. Overall, the FireAngel SB1-R is an affordable and reliable smoke alarm that's easy to install and blends seamlessly into any home.

My smoke alarm recently failed so i purchased this one. Good make and at a great price. Now installed and working fine.

Easy to set up, smaller than most fire alarms however brackets fit into existing holes easily. They seem loud when tested so keeps the house safe.

We got these along with the fire Angel carbon monoxide alarms for our campervan. Lightweight, good construction and the batteries last a very long time. Very easy to fit with included bracket.

Smoke Detectors are now installed and seem to be working as they should. Only given 4 stars as fitting the detector plate is very fiddly. The screws and plugs supplied are absolute rubbish and not up to the job. I find this astonishing as it is advised that most smoke detectors should be fixed to the ceiling, most ceilings are plasterboard and the fixings supplied are not suitable. The back plate could have been a better design - not easy.

J'ai acheté ce détecteur afin de ne pas devoir enlever le support déjà en place qui avait été collé -> nickel, il s'adapte bien au support

Le modèle à batterie scellé se met en défaut bien avant la date de péremption. Au moins avec celui à piles on peut les changer.

Alarme pas assez bruyante si vous avez une grande maison pour un appartement de petite taille il suffira
