Very nice build quality and shipment.
I’m pursuing a little retrofit project and found these affordable and well built bases. The materials seem to be well suited to provide an enduring install. The lamps that I intend to use (Phillips Hue) fit snugly and securely in the socket, showing no signs of working loose. Only time will tell if the socket holds up, but for the time being, I’m quite satisfied. Thanks!

Good socket but the wires are too thin
During the ceiling painting, I had accidentally torn off one of the two wires in one of my kitchen GU10 ceiling lights. As I could not figure a way to put it back, I decided to replace the entire socket.Well, these sockets, which are made of ceramics, are really of a great quality. But the wires… are not so good. The old one that I replaced had two solid copper wires, of a gauge maybe 12, or at least 14.These socket wires are not solid and the gauge does not look like even 14. And honestly, the wrapping does not look like a silicon but rather like a standard PVC.I have used the modern wire coupler from the Home Depot - the kind that you just push the connecting wires into the holes and they stuck there and get connected. Well, I was not able to push these wires in (they’ve been bent all the time), until I soldered the tips to make them harder. There is something else, as though it could be my own fault, but who knows.I have tested the socket first without using the coupler, just by screwing two wires together and isolating the connection with the tape. Then I turned up the light for few minutes and checked the socket. The socket was hot! Of course, it could have been caused by my temporary imperfect connection, but to be on a safe side I decided to replace the halogen bulb with the LED one. Now the socket is not getting even warm.

Love it
My husband also ordered these bc he loves messing around and making ANYTHING and EVERYTHING electrical. I have many lamps he has made using these as well as his resin stuff. Just be safe at all times
