This is it. Finally. A brush that makes detangling my shih tzu poodle's fur easy and fast and a pleasure for us both. After trying so many other brushes I'm glad I decided to suck it up and spend the money for this one. It's more than worth the expense.The cushion that holds the bristles has just the right amount of give. The bristles are smooth and glide through tangles with unbelievable ease. The weight, build quality, and size are just right for both larger areas and small without hand, arm, or wrist fatigue. Loose hairs that catch in the bristles clean off easily.And, most importantly, my dog doesn't at all mind me using it on him. He has always hated being brushed. This brush doesn't seem to bother him, and we've gotten into a two-minute-long daily grooming routine that allows me to keep him tangle free and handsome.In short, the brush works amazingly well, is a pleasure to use, and well worth the cost.I should probably also mention that we've been using the brush for 10 months now. Just to make you folks aware that I'm not writing this right after taking it out of the box or something. 😊

This was my first Chris Christensen dog brush purchase and it has taught me the importance of finding the correct brush for the job at hand. Deciding to add it to my shopping cart, along with the two other C.C. brushes I bought at the same time, was really difficult as these brushes were not inexpensive!I was pleased to discover that at least it performed as promised. Mats, with this brush and a light application of de-matting spray & patience, were very much easier for me to remove and much less uncomfortable for my pup. I did not know until this experience how much of a difference a simple brush could make!This brush is also beautifully made. I love the feel and look of the wood base & handle, and the pins are indeed fatter than normal & rounded, not at all sharp or scratchy. (the secret to this brush's effectiveness!)I am confident it will last a very long time. I am happy to have it & my pup loves his brushing sessions!

This is a great little brush and works surprisingly well on my giant, double-coated dogs. It does a good job pulling out the undercoat while not adding any static. It's lightweight but feels good in the hand. The pins are soft and flexible, so I don't worry about accidentally scratching my dog's skin. Wish I had bought this brush earlier!

After spending at least the equivalent amount on brushes that did not do the job on my Havanese's cottony coat, I bought this one and WOW it is magic. It gets through his hair like butter with no painful tugging, makes it easy to remove matting when it starts, and is the only brush that my dog doesn't seem to be annoyed by. His coat looks amazing after being brushed with this. Yes, it's pricey, but it is worth every penny. For dogs with a challenging coat, this is the best everyday brush to have in your toolkit.

A quality brush that does the job without pain. The bristles are rounded so they don’t injure delicate skin, works well for my Maine Coon too, as well as my Cavapoo.

Good quality. Very solid brush. Works really well on my Old English Sheepdogs coat.

This brush and the ice on ice detangler are phenomenal! My yorkie is 9 months old and has thick wavy puppy fur. I cannot believe how great this has worked for me. After two ( 2) 20 minute sessions, I have 1 side of her torso done. I am embarrassed to say she is matted all over, but this is really working quite well. I thought i would have to have her cut super short, but that will not be necessary. There is minimal hair loss with this brush.. My pup is not experiencing any pain. BTW, Treats are a huge help in bribing her while I brush her. We are taking our time during the brushing sessions; it is so worth it to me. The detangler is a big help, and leaves the coat shiny. This was a bit expensive for me, but is sooo worth the money. I consider the brush an investment for the care of my pup that will last a long time. Much better results than a rake or the 5 tooth dematting tool. I highly recommend this!

Finally! The last brush I will need to buy my long coat Havanese dog. Her coat right now is about 8 inches (20 cm) at the longest areas. I can brush down to the skin without making my dog uncomfortable. The teeth on the brush are well spaced, perfectly thick and dull at the points to be gentle on the dog, and does a thorough job detangling her hair. This has not been true with other brushes since her coat is part silk and part cotton. With this brush and a 003 butter comb, I can do everything I necessary to care for her coat in a way that is stress free for both of us. I can do a more thorough brush in less time than my old pin brush allowed. It costs a lot but has been worth it when I see my dog happily falling asleep during grooming time.
