I READ SOME REVIEWS THAT WERE NEGATIVE, HOWEVER WHEN THESE ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY THEY WORK VERY WELL. MY HARD TONNEAU COVER IS VERY HEAVY AND THESE LIFT SHOCKS WORK EXTREMELY WELL LIFTING AND HOLDING THIS COVER UP.......AND THEY ARE HIGHER LIFT THAN MOST OTHER LIFT SHOCKS, AS THAT IS A PLUS WHEN TRANSPORTING LARGER LOADS ON YOUR TRUCK !!!! FIVE STAR RATING HERE !!!

They work perfectly

These are 80lb but when measured they were over 90lb. In some applications that would be great but in mine it caused a few issues. Either way good and cheap would recommend

Absolutely great product. Installing is was easy and fit the 9 mm ball hinges perfectly and carries a 180 pound door really easily.

When buying hydraulic struts, its important to know how to calculate the amount of force needed, how the shock will be used, what angles they will be moving at, etc... Otherwise you'll end up like some people on these reviews who get confused and angry about struts not working or bending them because they incorrectly install them. So with that being said, do your research! these struts are described well and if you know what you're doing, they will be a great addition to your project! (also I've learned that installing the piston rod lower than the gas cylinder allows for better lubrication, a smoother 'end of travel dampening' and a longer lifetime of a shock strut. In my video I've got them upside down, so ill probably flip them around.) Cheers!

I used these to replace the struts on my RV outside kitchen door. Worked perfectly! The original ones were way to short and ended up being ripped out of the wall. These new ones allowed me to apply downward force instead of outward force on the wall, and the force of the springs are perfect for lifting and holding the door.

For being a strut that is supposed to handle 80 pounds each these things fail to deliver. They are light duty that probably don't hold 80lbs each and both the shafts bent like a pretzel when the load came down on them. Replaced these with the truck upfitter struts and they are heavy duty. The strut shafts are a larger diameter that can handle the load. Don't waste your money on these. Wish I could give these zero stars.
