Fun to open
The media could not be loaded. I love opening this lock! It's very easy to open and has presented no problem to me, a very amateur lock picker 😃. I'll leave five stars for for thieves scouting which locks are easy to open, 3 stars for people wanting to secure their things, and 4 stars for a lock picker who wants to try out a disk detainer lock. While you can see me open this lock quite easily, you need to remember that locks are more for peace of mind, than actual protection against good thieves. Not many thieves carry around tools for these kinds of locks, so I would say it's not the worst investment.

A fun padlock.
It's not super secure if you know how it works. If you have a tool for it. It's a quick open...it's got sloppy tolerance. But that's ok. It makes it more fun.Which disc to rotate which to keep. I can't say I felt any false gates...but for the price ....it's just right....As an actual secure lock....well....I guess it's better than a pin tumbler lock...plus if you don't have the right tool it would be a huge challenge....Overall it's actually ok....would I use it on anything important....maybe not....but then as I said without the right tool....it's pretty secure....and honestly most people have no idea how it even operates...or what tool to use...or actually care....they care more about locking something up....and with the right tool and just a little knowledge....it's not much of a challenge to open without a key....Is it a good lock? well yes...It amazes me sometimes how those of us who enjoy Locksport and think , oh this lock core is insecure or easy to pick. Assume everyone else has the same knowledge.....like if someone said hey can you reprogram this robot to do something....think oh it's easy and I'd have no idea what they were talking about....well that like most people with locks....to you it's easy to them it's a whole different world.....so again...from my perspective....this lock is fun....it's a simple thing....For those who are buying for security of something ....it'll do....ok....there always is the sledge hammer of justice....and the grinder of doom...and tbh....I don't think this would fare so well...but overall it's ok.

Works great
I purchased this for a side walk gate. It works great and easy to lock. So far it has survived the summer. Highly recommend this product.

Disc detainer
Well, it's a disc detainer lock, which I'm too dumb and unskilled to be able to pick.

DO NOT BUY-rusty junk
These locks were advertised for outdoor use. I installed on outdoor utility box and less than 2 months both locks were rusted. Now Imay have to use bolt cutters to open them up.

It's cheap but complex
DD locks are deceivingly difficult to pick. This is the bottom of the barrel, and when it arrived it didn't even function until I messed around with the mechanism for about 5 minutes. It's still a hard pick. Zarker makes a much better lock in the cheap DD category but it doesn't retain the shackle like this one, which really doesn't matter I suppose.
