Very Helpful When Used With the Tape Strips
Although this is a bit pricey, it is extremely helpful. The sensor cover fits perfectly over the Freestyle Libre sensor. I am using it along with the tape strips, which are sold by the same vendor. Tip: Peel the paper backing off of the tape strip and place the tape on a flat surface (sticky side up). Then put the sensor cover onto the tape. Place both products (together as a pair) over the Freestyle Libre sensor, which you have already applied to the back of your upper arm. It’s an excellent pairing and it helps to keep the sensor in place for the entire 14 days. I would recommend this to others. Update tip: I recently learned that inaccurate low readings on the first day of a new Libre sensor can be eliminated if the new sensor is applied (but not yet activated) a day beforehand. In other words, for one day, I have a sensor on each arm (the old one, which is about to expire and the new one, which will soon be activated). As the old sensor expires, I simply activate the new one, which has been attached and awaiting activation for about a day. I will now order a second sensor cover.

Well worth it for the peace of mind
After going through a couple of them before it was time to change them, and as a result being without because it was too early for the refill cycle through insurance, and feeling then like I had wasted my copay (which was much more than the cost of this cover), I decided to give this a try.I found that using this to cover the Freestyle Libre adds a layer of protection to prevent accidental bumps, etc. from knocking it out of place and wasting the sensor before its time is up. I read the other reviews before purchasing the cover and addressed some of the concerns in this way: 1. to prevent glue from getting on my sensors I used a small piece of paper tape on the inside of the cover and taped it facing out, just large enough to cover the hole, so no residue ever gets through; 2. I have an adhesive allergy so never used the tape sent with the cover (yes, only 2 strips are included so that would only last a month). I use paper tape and purchased a roll of it at my local pharmacy; that covers the "not enough tape" issue. 3. I tape across the top of the cover and then lay the cover on the sensor and then lay the tape on my skin gently, then press the tape in place. If you pull the tape tightly across the cover and the sensor you are more likely, in my experience, to pinch a tiny bit of skin in there, and yes, that will not be comfortable. If you have a roll of, say, paper tape, you can take the cover off, retape and reposition so you are not pinching. Overall, I did not find this to be an on-going issue. This cover should be included with sensors when they get sent to you. Yes, it is just a thin piece of plastic, but it fits perfectly over the sensor, and the chance of my being able to produce this on my own is zero. I am no longer concerned about bumping my arm getting into the car, walking through doorways, or showering. I've even passed this information on to my endocrinologist. For me, this has been well worth the few dollars for the peace of mind.

A little pricey but definitely cheaper than replacing sensor
The product coupled with the Simpatch bandage works really well in protecting the Libre sensor. The sensor actually works for 14 days because it stays put. I spent almost a month in 100% humidity and went to the beach and I had no problem. I had to replace the bandage every 4 - 5 days but that was not a problem either. The cover was a bit tacky where the adhesive covered it but I had no problem reatracing the cover with a new bandage.Con: I found the $19.99 price a little too high for this small piece of plastic but I guess it is cheaper than having to constantly replace a Libre sensor before the sensor actually expires.

Great idea, still needs improvement.
First time using this product. Let me start off saying I love the idea of this cap. It does fit the sensor well. However the hole in the center is a bit too large. I was removing the over patch and the patch stuck to the sensor because the hole was too big pulling the sensor out with it. The idea of this cap it to keep the patch from sticking to the sensor... well it failed on that aspect. Luckily the sensor was expired and I didn’t loose out on that. Feed back to the developer, I love the idea, just would make the center hole a bit smaller or have a cross section in there to keep the patch from getting a hold of the sensors we are trying to keep in.

Lifesaver!
This little piece of plastic has saved my CGM time and time again! My sticky patches tend to come off at least twice over the 2 week period. This has my mind at ease now. I never have to worry about my CGM coming off with my patch. It's amazing! I recommend this little lifesaver to everyone that asks about my CGM and patch.

Well worth the money!!!!!
This product is well worth the money. My dad recently started using the libre and has had issues with keeping it on. I've even used skin surgical adhesive (not recommended) from work. I got on to find the adhesive Abbott recommended and came across this. It is perfect! We haven't tried the adhesive bandage that came with it yet. I had gotten clear covers that have the hole in the middle. They work perfect with the cover. The whole concept of the cover makes sense. I would recommend cutting a hole in the middle of the adhesive bandage that came with in it just because the hole in the middle of the sensor should not be covered. Great product overall!

Almost there but will try again
Worked great the first time. Changed tape and no issue. Tape was coming loose and tried peeling off without luck. The plastic disc stuck to the sensor and both came off. It's almost like the glue on the tape leaked onto the sensor top and the two fused together. Had 7 days to go on the sensor. Will try again, but wonder if others have had this issue or if they can suggest tips. Great design, but short on execution for this user.
