Thought I’d give this a try based on the reviews. The taste is okay, I found it a little strong. This dries my lips out like most other lip balms, and after a few days my lips start to flake. The only one that works and actually heals and moisturizes is Senegence, it’s amazing.

Finally finished the tube of Labello lip balm that I purchased in Ireland in 2018. It is now 2021. Wanted to see if I could find a similar version in the US. Heard that Nivia lip balm was made by the same company. Decided to buy a tube. Glad I only bought one. As others have mentioned, it is thicker and waxier than the sister lip balm, and the original Nivea formula. Maybe it was better before they changed it, I don't know. Never bought it. But, I can tell you the Labello one was better. Think next time around, I'll buy the Labello brand on Amazon. Hopefully it will be as moisturizing as my last tube.Edited to add:It is now 2022. I tried Vaseline Lip Therapy moisturizing hydrating clear lip balm with vitamin e. That feels more like the original Labello formula. Glides on easy, stays slick. If you're not happy with Nivea, give that one a try. Even resembles both tubes blue in color, very affordable, and found at at your local Wally World.

During the winter (oh who am I kidding, all seasons of the year), I find this to be my go-to lip balm to keep my lips nice and soft. I put it on mostly right as I'm going to bed as part of my nightly routine and it stays on my lips throughout the night, keeping things soft and smooth. It does last a relatively long time, even with how much I use it. It's the only and best lip balm I've had. I've tried the honey kind, the light blue moisture one, and the olive oil + lemon ones and they don't hold a candle to this one. It's the best. The honey one doesn't moisturize much, the light blue one doesn't stay on the lips very long, and the olive oil one smells funky after a while and tastes gross. If you find your lips cracking and peeling in these horrible winter months, get yourself some of this!**Tip: When you get to the end of the tube and the product has flattened out so it seems you can't swipe any more on your lips, I suggest digging it out so you don't let any product go to waste. I use the back of my nail to scoop it out and rub it onto my lips (can also use a little spatula to do this).

This is a great everyday lip balm for people who don't have problems with serious chapping. But it's a lip balm of a specific type. If you like light lip balms that glide on and feel silky, as opposed to lip balms that are creamier or waxier, this is a great one. I note some reviewers saying it's unisex. It has a light but noticeable citrus/vanilla scent and leaves a faint shimmer on your lips--definitely not a gloss, and not a sparkly shimmer, but there's a sheen there. Whether you're a man or woman, if you don't want to look like you're wearing lip product, this probably isn't the balm for you--you will need something waxier. Does a great job moisturizing day to day, but if my lips gets very chapped, this isn't emollient enough. During the winter or during dry weather, I use this during the day and Aquaphor (the healing ointment, not the lip treatment) at night, and that works really well for me. I also use an additional product if I plan to be out in the sun for a while, since this doesn't have SPF (which is good for me, since I like to control when I use sunblock). I have yet to find a lip balm that is the be all and end all (probably doesn't exist), but this is my favorite default lip balm.

I absolutely LOVE this! I used to buy the Nivea Milk and Honey kind (the yellow one), but a friend had this and gave me a stick and I've been hooked ever since. It's much cheaper buying it here than in the stores even if you're lucky enough to find it on sale. I've purchased 12 of these - I keep one everywhere. This works well, lasts long and it's just the right firmness - not so soft that it breaks off when you apply it and not so hard that it rips your lips off (even if it's been sitting in a cold car). Can't live without this stuff.*Update - I just ordered six more of these and even though they are not eligible for Prime shipping, I received them in two business days! I have now ordered these four times, so I've gone through 24 of these (living in Utah is rough - it's 100°+ in the summers and beyond freezing in the winters and everything is dry - your hair, skin and especially your lips) and I will never use anything else. The seller is great and the price cannot be beat for the quantity*

The thing about this product is that there is no scent or flavor. It simply does it’s job. I was using Burts Bees and Blistex back to back from the regular moisturizing balms to the healing/medical ones and they made my lips dry if anything. I drink a ton of water on top of this so I obviously wasn’t the problem. I got this pack and it had my lips healthy and moisturized literally in less than an hour and has been since. This is literally the only lip moisturizing product I will use for now on.

I am so happy I did not take into account the 1 star reviews. This was and still is the best lip balm ever. It has been by favorite ever since I was in high school - so more than 20 years. For years it has never failed to repair my lips, especially during the harsh winters, and after reading the reviews I really feared they had changed the formula. Well, they might have, but I can't see any difference. The smell is the same, the consistency is the same, it does what it is supposed to and I still love it
