once open,lasts for barely a week.
Let me be honest.I have never tasted authentic clotted cream,so I am no one to comment on the taste . To me it tasted a little like cream cheese without the tang. The awful thing was, the whole tub could not be utilised as the clotted cream has to be utilised within 5 days,once opened . The shelf life is long,true ,but once opened,it cannot be stored in the refrigerator long enough to get through a kilogram of the stuff....at least not for a small family .A lesson learnt.The cream has to go into the freezer once opened or get smaller portions,which costs more than double,when adjusted for weight! Tough decision!

Product arrived in very bad condition.
As I said: Product arrived in very bad condition. Impossible to taste it.I suppose the cream got corrupted along the travel. Pity!
