Another quality adapter
I purchased a new MacBook Pro in November and was greeted with the lack of compatible ports for all my drives and memory cards. After reviewing the plethora of various adapters, I ended up choosing CharJen. The product was great as it allowed pass-through charging and also provided the necessary adapters for SD, MicroSD and USB 3 ports. It met all the checkboxes and felt like a high quality product. The only downside was that version did not have an HDMI port. Fortunately, for the days that I do need HDMI out, this port adapter meets those needs.The Space Gray finish is slightly darker than Apple's finish (see the pictures) but is very close. The ability to insert on the left or right is also convenient depending on where your peripheral cables are located. It is compact and does work with my TwelveSouth Journal cover without impacting performance.The only downside is that it is possible to have the adapter plugged in but slightly ajar making it look like it is connected but it is not. The good thing is that this can be easily diagnosed as the CharJen adapter has an "active" LED light which will then be off (you can see it in the last photo).I am extremely impressed with the fit and finish and high quality of this product. I definitely recommend it due to its compact footprint, very competitive cost and flexibility of moving on either side.CharJen Feedback: I would recommend stamping the Type C - TB3 "lighting symbol" on both sides of the adapter so that it is easily identifiable which USB C port is the TB3 whether inserting on the left or right side.

Minimalist Adapter with everything you need in it
This adapter is very slick and tiny, about the size of a lighter. But this basically packs all the great features an adapter needs.Pros:- Extremely portable: about the size of a lighter. I can even put my laptop inside the laptop area of my backpack with this adapter attached.- Light indicator for proper connection on both top and bottom: so pick your side of connections (left of right of MacBook) and you can still check the proper connection easily- Powers through the adapter, that is, you can connect USB-C power source indirectly through this adapter and still have no problem charging your MacBook.- Great aesthetics as it matches the shape and color of your space gray MacBook Pro perfectly.- Can support multi-use properly as it is supposed to: HDMI output, phone sync, external drive backup, MacBook charging and lighting a USB LED light. All done properly simultaneouslyCons:- Power delivery might be weak if you connect everything through this adapter. For example, if you connect USB-C power through the adapter and connect 2 USBs and HDMI display output and run computation heavy apps (e.g. games or computer codes) then the remaining battery percentage may go down slowly. I guess this is a common limitation. This can be addressed by connecting the power source to the other side of MacBook Pro.- The adapter covers headphone jack on the right side if connected to the right side.Overall:This is my favorite adapter so far and will be sticking on the side of my MacBook Pro from now on maybe permanently!

Punctual, Petite, and Professional
Hello Charlie and Jenny!I purchased this product for a new work computer that I was given. I work in Media, so having quick access to USBs, HDMI, and to USBc on my tiny little MAC is paramount. I had a Dongle on loan from my supervisor - but I needed something more. I needed something that could get the job done, look great doing it, and withstand the punishment of the job.I got this product and it matches perfectly with my computer. Some of my coworkers didn't even notice it until I plugged something into it, which is fantastic.While light and concise, the materials FEEL fantastic - like they belong to a higher end company; no cheap plastic here.The best part is that I found a letter in my package, HAND WRITTEN, from a certain "Charlie and Jenny". Which was absolutely sweet, and shows that the people who made this product actually care, and are taking time to write/print these out and add them to their product - which is a welcome twist.However, the adapter can be slightly flimsy at times, be sure not to put weight on it at any time.Worst of all, while the second USBc port works for everything normally, it cannot receive power from a charger for some reason.Honestly, though, for the price here - I'm getting more than what I paid for. It's an adapter that is sleek, suave, and serviceable. What more could you ask for?

Great product while it works.
I’ve been looking for a product that is more affordable than the hyperdrive at Best Buy. This one did the trick. I like that it’s small, simple, compact and can really get the job done. I haven’t had any issues with this and I shouldn’t expect to. If I do run into any issues, I know that I can reach out and customer service will be able to assist me in their best way possible.Update: The first one I got had an issue with a USB port. After I reached out to the customer service team, they sent me a replacement after a few days going back and forth (as if they didn't believe me that there was an issue). The replacement they sent me is now having problems with the HDMI display port, which is crucial to helping me during work and allowing me the use of two monitors. My assumption is because the adapter gets extremely hot during use. I really wanted to like it, but I need something more reliable since I'm using it for work.
