Solid choice for bloating, you’ll feel like you again!
My gastroenterologist gave me a few samples of these to help with my constant bloating. I figured they’d just be another product I use that gives me false hope and isn’t effective. In hindsight, I’m so glad I was wrong.Within 20-30 minutes of taking these, I can honestly say my bloating is reduced significantly and I feel so much better. I can’t speak on the actual action of mechanism, but lemme tell you. They do work.I somehow am always waking up bloated and uncomfortable. I take one of these after brushing my teeth and the bloating/pressure is gone. I feel ready to go to work.As someone who suffers from GERD, I’m grateful these do not contain peppermint like other variations. Peppermint is known to trigger reflux and because of that, I stay away. But these? They’re great.

Life Saver!
I suffer from functional dyspepsia which is directly correlated to my anxiety. When I get anxious I get extremely bloated and nauseous and nothing seems to work. When I pop a couple of these, in about 30 minutes my bloating is gone and I feel much better. I always have these in my medicine cabinet. It’s a must!

I-Menthol side-effects
I tried FDgard due to symptoms and diagnosis of ulcer-like Functional Dyspepsia (FD). I began with 1 capsule of FDGard, then increased the dose to 1 capsule morning, afternoon, then evening. I hadn't noticed any improvement in my symptoms of FD, so I increased the dose to the recommended dose of 2 capsules in the AM and 2 capsules in the PM---each time taking FDgard 30 - 60 minutes before eating. During the night, at about 2:30 AM, I woke up and ... noticed my pajama bottoms were damp as well as the bedding. Strange. When I stood up, I felt off balance, drugged, and failed coordination; I had to sit down immediately. The next morning I researched I-menthol, one of the active ingredients in FDgard (along with ginger and peppermint). I realized in the morning that the FDgard at the recommended dose caused me to wet the bed!!! And in retrospect I realized that taken 3 times per day was the reason I felt tired/sleepy for the three days I was on FDgard 3 times per day. Menthol acts on the k-opioid receptors in the brain affecting consciousness (!!!), and menthol poisoning can result in lack of coordination, dizziness, and muscle weakness among other symptoms of menthol poisoning. While I suppose my reaction to the I-menthol in FDgard is rare, FDgard has not been on the market for decades, clinical research provides a lot of information but not as much information as public use of a product over several years or decades. Before using FDGard, I advise looking up menthol and menthol poisoning so that you have an idea of how it might also possibly affect you. Otherwise FDgard did little to nothing to help me with my FD symptoms. Note: I am a molecular biologist with nearly 4 decades of biomedical research experience. If you phone FDgard about menthol and they tell you FDgard is all natural, that is not quite true nor is it particularly an indication of safety; after all opium from poppies is all natural, bee stings are all natural (and some are allergic to stings), poison oak is all natural, etc. Hope this information helps.
