The basic description on the desertcart website mentioned the more well-known cookies, but I was hoping (and was absolutely thrilled!) to find a recipe for Brutti Ma Buoni, a really delicious cookie I chanced upon during a day trip to San Giminiano and which didn't seem to be as well known (a relative who'd lived in Italy for quite a long time giggled when I mentioned the name to her)...and now I can try to make this cookie as an Italian "Nonna" would!

PERFECT.
Being Italian, children called my mother Nonna and she was an excellent baker. Unfortunately, we could not locate her recipes. I purchased this wonderful book for each adult child. PERFECT XMAS GIFT - wonderful recipes brought back beautiful memories .

For several years now, i have started to bake Italian cookies for the Christmas season. This is because I found this cookbook. One by one, I am working my way through all of the cookies and so far almost all of them have worked. Some need some tweaking and knowing the yield for each recipe would have been helpful, but honestly, it just encourages me to make each one and find out on my own! I have recommended this book over and over to all of my Italian cookie lovers. My extended family gives me such rave reviews when I show up with a huge platter of homemade cookies. Highly recommend.
