This system rocks! The speakers look great and sound fantastic! For all but top speeds on the interstate, sound is clear and sufficiently loud. At 70+ with truck traffic it's a little muffled, but even a car stereo, under those conditions, with the windows all open, isn't going to sound very good either! Right after installing the system, I went on a 3000 mile round trip ride and it was great to have tunes as the miles flew by via my iPhone and the standard mini plug that attaches to the speakers. The volume control easily clips to a cable tie I attached to the left handlebar for easy reach. I did need to run wires directly to the battery for both the (+) and (-) leads because ground on the handlebars was inadequate, just as the installation instructions suggested. The only reason I didn't give the system 5-Stars is that I did not know until I got the system and started installing it that it did not come with a power switch. That extra item I was able to pick up at a local auto parts store for lass than five bucks and only added a few minutes to installation time. Otherwise, it is constantly drawing from the battery. Altogether, installation took a couple of hours, but the kit comes with everything, including tubing to hide wires. Well worth the price.

Their sound is awesome. Not a deep base but crisp and clear at all speeds, even highway. Really screwy wiring system because of the way the wires come out of the speaker shell through the mounting nut/clamp. I didn't like their approach so with my 60 years electronics hands-on experience, I modified it. Mounting was pretty good and had a good range of adjustments to get the speakers at the right angle pointing at the rider. I installed them on a 2018 Harley Freewheeler trike. They do have a lot of power projecting the music. Their 4" size is significant. A Harley 3" speaker has 7" circular surface area while a 4" speaker (these MHIs) has 12.5" surface area. It is a significant difference when you realize that a speaker is just an air-piston pushing air toward you. That is 1.8 times the piston surface area for just 1" larger speaker. The price of $239 also significantly beats Harleys $559 a pair..

This speakers are perfect! They are loud and clear with no "tinny" sound at all. They are so good in fact that my husband bought a pair for his motorcycle. Also for the other reviews that stated there is no on/off switch or volume control.....guys your player has its own volume control so you don't need a separate one and if you wire the speakers correctly they will go on/off with the ignition. Well worth the money in my book!

The brackets are not round and don't fit the handlebars correctly. The wiring has no on/off switch and the tiny little inline volume control is an absolute joke and cannot be used with a glove on. The wiring is very minimal and requires a lot of innovation and modification to install. I bought a volume control and an on/off switch at a car stereo shop and mounted them. Now it works good. Not a complete kit. Speakers are decent and loud.

Easy to install. Great sound! Highly recommend.
