I read before buying some concerns about it being so cheap. I grew up in a time where we didn't wear helmets to ride a bike in the country. This is all new to me, but it's required and I bought my grand son a bike for Christmas. I'm not saying my grandson's head isn't important, but there is no cement on our property and even if they were, this helmet seems to be just fine to protect his head. I looked at those at Walmart and this helmet is the same as those, but a little less. I see nothing wrong with this helmet, the foam inside is very thick and for a child, I think it is going to do what it's designed to do and that is protect his head in a fall. The dial has a lot of room for both tighter and larger adjustments. If you're strapped for money, but want to get a helmet and feel you're doing what you can to protect your little ones head, this is a perfect beginners helmet.

This helmet was lightweight, cooling, and just perfect. It has lots of holes and really does keep the head a bit cooler that other models, and is very sturdy.

Fits both my 8 year old and 11 year old. Sturdy and love how visible the green is.

This is a great kids helmet .There are multiple straps to adjust the size .It is comfortable and secure .My niece loved the green color !

Nice helmet! Bright color, which kids like and it's easy to spot. Very sturdy, even for the most active child. And it's adjustable, which means it will last for more than one summer.

This is a cheap helmet, but it did its job when my 11 year old wiped out on his bike and hit his head hard. The helmet cracked and broke BUT I ordered another one ASAP as it did what it was supposed to do! and that was save my son from a concussion or worse!! Thank you!

Very good but the outer green layer is just plastic. And the inside is this hard foam. But it is really good and sturdy. It looks big on the head, but is very safe.
