Books That Drive Kids CRAZY!: Did You Take the B from My _ook? (Books That Drive Kids CRAZY!, 1)

I've read quite a few books by Matt Stanton (this was also co-written by Beck Stanton) and they are usually quite good. Did you take the B from my _ook? was no exception, like another reviewer on this site, I also didn't think much of This is a Ball, another in the Books That Drive Kids Crazy series. But I found this one to be clever and effective in its interaction sub text on each page value. Basically it's sort of like a B is for various things starting with the letter B, except for the B has been taken away from the words on each of the pages.Did you take the B from my _ook? is also formatted properly so it takes up the entire screen in landscape mode, so is like reading an actual physical open book where you see both the left and right pages at once. The text and illustrations therefore appear on the pages together like they should, unlike a lot of Kindle picture book authors which just display like a mess. A lot of picture book authors can't be bothered to take the time to format their work and reading them is like a mess. I always like to take the time to acknowledge those who care enough about their readers and their own work to make sure everyone enjoys it to the fullest potential.

My 4 year-old grandson and I enjoyed this book and he's read it again and again. It is creatively funny. I liked it so much I bought "This is a ball", another book by the same author. That book was disappointing. My grandson really didn't see the humor in it.

I really enjoy using this in my speech therapy sessions. The students can work on many communication goals explaining to me why I am saying things wrong or problem solving being mad at me for continuously leaving the b out of words.

I want all of this series! ?So fun

Best book for read aloud! Always a winner at storytime

The book was seriously over-rated (in my opinion) for the children I bought it for -- ages 7 & 9. Much more appropriate for ages 4 - 6, very disappointing .......**bought it on-line based on reviews; never again - will always check out the book/activity in person before presenting as a gift!!

I use this book for speech therapy to get my kids to talk. It can also be used to support clear speech. The kids really like these books as I also have two others from this author and each book brings enjoyment to the kids I work with.
